quintuplets at Edwards Hospital in Naperville. The babies, who are all under two pounds, are in critical but stable condition. Taunacy, who had a C-section, is in good condition.
Right now, the babies are known as "A," "B," "C," "D," and "E." They were born on Monday.
Friends, family and state officials are rallying Illinois residents to help the family.
"Taunacy Horton was able to see the babies earlier today and feel their small hands wrap around her finger, a very moving moment for her, as you could imagine. Taunacy Horton would also like to ask for your prayers for the babies who are progressing very well for being so premature," said Lt. Governor Pat Quinn.
Lt. Gov. Quinn is asking for help. Friends have set up a fund to help the Hortons.
