Tiger Wood's Cerritos Elementary kindergarten teacher, Maureen Decker, has demanded public and private apologies in response a book written five years ago by the golfer.
In the book Woods recalls being the victim an attack on his first day of school where he was tied up, beat up and called racial slurs by other students -- all while Decker did nothing.
But Decker claimed the account did not happen and that she had been maligned by Woods.
Decker said that the increase in press surrounding Wood's infidelities has brought back memories of the book, causing her to suffer health issues.
"I don't show my emotions, I feel them. And that's with the migraines, the colitis, the elevated blood pressure," Decker said in a news conference.
Decker's announcement came just days before Wood's return to golf in the Masters, but Decker said that timing had nothing to do with her decision to come forward, adding that she had tried to get a retraction from Woods for years.
"I couldn't get through to him… There was no way I could get through to him. I left messages at his foundation -- no return calls. There was no way for me, as in individual, to get through to him," Decker said.
Regarding her former student's very public sex scandal, Decker had this to say.
"I shouldn't say this, but I felt that what goes around comes around," Decker said.
Decker's attorney, Gloria Allred, also represents one of Wood's alleged mistresses.
According to both Decker and Allred, there were no plans to file a lawsuit against Woods -- the only thing being sought was an apology to the retired teacher.http://cbs2.com/local/Tiger.Woods.Teacher.2.1609053.html
