Police appeal for information following robberies at Bexley and Kogarah

Police from St George Local Area Command are appealing for information after two men were robbed in separate incidents at Bexley and Kogarah yesterday.
About 2:40pm yesterday, a 30-year-old man was walking along New Illawarra Road at Bexley North and pushing his 22 month-old son in a pram when he was approached by three men.
It is alleged the three men surrounded the man and asked for money before punching him in the back and emptying his pockets of cash.
The trio stole a small amount of money, the man’s mobile phone and jewellery before fleeing the scene. They were last seen running in a southerly direction on New Illawarra Road.
Police investigating the robbery would like to speak to three men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early twenties with a medium build and a black Mohawk style haircut.
He was wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt with a logo across the front, three quarter length denim shorts and a black bum-bag.
The second man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early twenties, approximately 175cm tall with a medium build and black spiky hair.
He was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt and dark-coloured cargo pants.
The third man is only described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early twenties with an athletic build.
In the second incident, about 7:55pm yesterday, a 29-year-old man was walking along the western footpath on Railway Street at Kogarah from the train station when he was approached by two men.
It is alleged one of the men punched him to the face causing him to fall to the ground before demanding money.
The injured man handed over cash and his backpack before the two men ran south along Railway Street where they were seen to enter a vehicle described as being an early model white Toyota Corolla.
Police and NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called to the scene and the man was taken by ambulance to St George Hospital suffering a broken nose.
Investigators would like to speak to two men who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 25-years-old, about 180cm tall with a medium build and short blonde hair.
He was wearing a white hooded top and black pants.
The second man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, approximately 25-years-old, about 175cm tall with a medium build and short dark hair.
He was wearing a black coloured hooded top and black pants.
Anyone who may have witnessed either robbery or who has information which could assist police in identifying and locating those responsible is urged to contact St George Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A MAN has been punched and robbed while pushing his young son in a pram in Sydney's south, police say.
The 30-year-old man was walking along New Illawarra Rd, Bexley North, with his 22-month-old son when he was surrounded by three men about 2.40pm yesterday.
The men allegedly punched him in the face and emptied his pockets of cash.
His mobile phone and jewellery were also stolen.
In a separate incident, a 29-year-old man was allegedly approached by two men and punched in the face while walking along a footpath on Railway Street, Kogarah, in Sydney's south, just before 8pm yesterday.
He fell to the ground before he handed over cash and his backpack to the men.
The men then ran south along Railway Street and got into an early model white Toyota Corolla.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to St George Hospital with a broken nose.

This report is another compelling argument in favour of becoming proficient in some form of martial art.
The law says that if you are attacked a person or people who are armed or 'in company' you can kill them and claim self defence.
A competent martial artist need hit someone only once to kill, if that is his wish.
