There is some discussion about this on SF at the moment.
Yes, the last one, well it was the NF really, was at Great Yarmouth pier in 1979. As a result of Labour beating the tories in the local elections prior to the AGM, Labour 'broke the law' by reneging on a legal contract with the NF, for the hire of a hall.
As I recall, the NF took Yarmouth Council to the High Court. The case was heard by Justice Tasker-Watkins VC. As a result, the NF won a sizeable amount of ratepayers money due to the Labour party. The reds threatened to riot, so the police closed down the whole seafront, and there were even police frogmen at sea, to prevent a bomb being attached to the pier.
There have been many nationalist rallies in London. What is needed is the 'bottle' to hold a rally. You won't get that off Mr. Griffin and his 'softies'.
You also won't get a National Conference either.
Griffin knows he is a mediocre speaker. Eddy Butler is the most boring speaker on the English speaking planet. Steve Brady has a terrible lisp, and Tony Lecomber has a face like a 'rusty bag of spanners' scowling at everyone and saying nothing.
These 'bods' know that even if we only had John Tyndall , he would blow these itinerant 'fly by nights' away with his oratory. Everyone of the last Spearhead group meetings speakers in Bradford, is far superior to Mr. Griffins croneys/speakers.
p.s. I remember Martin Webster just 'turning up' with a small group of other young lads and retiring upstairs with Nick Griffin and his male friends, at his/his fathers home in his 16th. Century cottage in Norfolk. Webster said he and his friends had got 'locked out' from their 'digs' at Caister. This was the evening before the NF AGM at Yarmouth.
