Three UK soldiers killed in Iraq

Three Black Watch troops have been killed and a number of others injured in an attack by insurgents in Iraq.

The deaths happened in the area patrolled by the battle group, but no more details have yet been released.

The 850-strong force have been attacked repeatedly since being redeployed to Camp Dogwood, 20 miles from Baghdad, on Friday, after a request from the US.

An Iraqi translator was also feared dead, the BBC's Ben Brown said. Some 73 UK military personnel have died in Iraq.

A spokesman for Tony Blair said: "The Prime Minister's thoughts are with the Black Watch and the families of the Black Watch."

Critics suggested the redeployment dragged Britain deeper into the turmoil of post-war Iraq and was part of political manoeuvring by the American government during their campaign for re-election.

It is all for the Jews! When will the people realise that these wars are being fought on behalf of Israel, an illegal state which murders refugees as a responce to suicide bombers.

As an ex- Royal Engineer that has put down the type of bridges(MGB's) that they are laying over the Euphrates river, there should have been more Infantry. There should have been even more RE's to make the sanger arrangements so that suicide bombers become less of a problem.

In short, there are too few UK troops in that area.

They should all be pulled out of Iraq forthwith.
