...Secession by "The White Racial Homeland"?
There are a lot of islands up there- most of them not online. This one just sold.

This beautiful private island is off the beaten path, yet readily accessible. Situated 1 mile (1.6 km) offshore from the town of Springdale (pop. 3,500), it has been left in its natural splendour. The island is nicely elevated, with fully-treed, hilly terrain. The shoreline has several sandy beaches, and there are numerous coves and peninsulas. The price of the island has been reduced, as the owner is anxious to sell.

Little Hardwood Island is also known as Hospital Island as it once contained an immigrant hospital, captain's house and doctor's cottage.
The trees were all cut in 1847 to make way for the immigrant landings and to build the hospital. The Island has friendly access and beautiful sandy beaches. It contains in all about 3.5 acres and is well above sea level.
This island would make a wonderful vacation spot and ideal cottage property.
The location is about 6 miles north of St Andrews harbour.Nearest access point is Cunningham Beach which is about 1 mile from the island.

There is only one way to find out.
Actually I know of two or three cases where people have bought islands, or taken deserted islands and declared independence and they've usually just been ignored.
I would guess the same thing would happen to us if we got an island like that, providing we didn't start trying to expand.
An island that small, in that remote a location wopuld not be deemed threatening, we'd probably just be considered eccentric.
Have you looked at the islands off Virginia?
They appeal to me more, less remote.

20 acre Kirby Island in Nova Scotia @ $94K; too close to mainland Canada.
One could get a lot of "As It Happens" airtime about the Viking discovery of America, and the worldwide necessity for "The White Racial Homeland" being begun somewhere, sometime. ...And as Canada has so very much territory...

I think the Canadians would treat such an act more humanely than would the Americans.
The plethora of Northern Labrador islands-

The reconstructions of three Norse buildings are the focal point of this archaeological site, the earliest known European settlement in the New World. The archaeological remains at the site were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. Exhibits highlight the Viking lifestyle, artifacts, and the archaeological discovery of the site. Visitors can also explore the hiking trails to nearby bays and lakes.

Thats the best way in, get grant money to work on the heritage side (and do it) and then declare independence.
If the project was seen to have a positive side then the public would be less hostile and the government less empowered.

Liberal Canadians are hostile to White Racists, although many White citizenry might have general sympathy, or at least, amusement.
Here is a house up there for just $16K. Surely, there must be thousands of small islands held by small landowners- old fishing families etc.

I suppose they'd leave you alone as long as you paid your taxes.
