Croat to head Muslim Al Jazeera Balkans

Denis Latin, editor-in-chief of Croatia’s political TV series “Latinica” has been named the general director of Al Jazeera Balkans.
Al Jazeera plans on spending millions in its foray into Balkans.
Others who ran for his spot were journalists Goran Milic, Zekerija Smajic and Ivica Pulic and general directors of Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera Balkans will air news and current events from the region in local languages. It is expected to hire about 100 reporters, including journalists from Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia.
Al Jazeera became famous for broadcasting messages by the Islamic terrorist Osama bin Laden. Al Jazeera studios were also bombed by the US.
Al Jazeera Balkans is located in the Bosnian Muslim dominated city of Sarajevo.
