Did you figure out how to move your photos and videos onto your computer, if you haven’t I think I can help you with that.

I figured out how to move my photos. (I email them to myself from my phone). Videos, nope still stuck there. I even tried reading all the forums. Phones I've had in the past had some sort of program that would start up when I plugged my phone into my computer....this one..nope. nothing.

You can go to the website of your phone’s manufacturer, there you look up your model, usually they should have some kind of software for your phone that you can download. My Samsung didn’t come with any software either, I went to their website and downloaded it.

is it possible to transfer music files from my PC's hard drive to my phone so I can use it like an ipod? I have a Blackberry Curve.

Phones I've had in the past I just used one of those teeny tiny (I know girl speak) memory cards. Put the music on there from my computer then stuck it in my phone. This always worked for me. But I am sure there are more ways to do it, and more technical ways to describe it all! ;)

If your phone is designed to play back songs it should work unless the songs are copy protected in some way, for example stuff you buy on iTunes only works on iPods and iPhones. You can try connecting your phone with the supplied USB cable, if everything works like it should a window will pop up, just like attaching a digital camera or a USB stick, you can try to find the file where the music goes.

Have you tried hooking up you phone with the USB? It would be even more simple if your phone had one of those little chips again, then you just need to find the file called DCIM, that’s where your pictures are.

Yeah, I have. It just makes that pingy noise...I wait, then nothing pops up! (like as you said with a camera or a usb thing.) I even go to "My Computer" to see if it is showing up there as a plug in device (or whatever its called) and nothing yet again.

I recommend that you don’t use your mobile phone to replace your regular digital camera, cell phones are alright to make the occasional snap shot or when you have nothing else around, but for general photography the picture quality is simply not up to par with even beginner model digital cameras. If you ever get a larger display the problems with cell phone photos become annoyingly obvious, on my 24 and 27 inch displays these iPhone sample photos (http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/camera.html) really don’t look that hot, they are ok but even the cheapest name brand digital camera does a far better job.

It's a Samsung Vibrant Galaxy S.

I've got a Galaxy too. According to Samsung’s support website this here software is supposed to go with your phone, GT-I9000 (http://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/mobile/mobile-phones/all-phones/GT-I9000HKABMC/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support), you can try downloading that and then try to hook up your phone again. Click on software.

Ok so I downloaded the Kies software. When I click to start it, I get a pop up saying to let Teruten (or some word similar to that), Inc run..I click ok. Then I start getting these little pop ups saying "Service Initiali Failed" and the option to click "ok". The one and only time it went to the actual program and I plugged my phone in, it basically said it didn't recognize my phone. So at this point its... Smart Phone 1 Colleen 0! At the moment I am uninstalling it and going to try reinstalling it one more time.

I can't believe you people showing off ur phones. I dropped the idea of getting a dual sim samsung mobile cuz there was a thread here about samsung racemixing agena here. there was a thread about apple here too. u people made a fuss about it and then u went on to get samsung and apple phones. can't u practice what u preach. learn something from me. never buy a product that shows racemixing. u people disgust me.

I think the problem is that you have a Galaxy S, not a Galaxy Vibrant S which doesn’t show up on the Australian Samsung website, I think they are the same thing, just different names for different markets.
Here’s the Australian site for your phone

That is the exact phone I have.
But oh well the downloading a program isn't working. :(
So, I will move onto the next question.....have you found any cool apps that help with sending video? Or any other ones interesting that you'd like to share with me? :)
