Lip Balm & Gloss
Lip Balm
What you will need:
Olive oil 2.5ml (½ tsp)
Beeswax 2.5 ml (½ tsp)
Cocoa butter 2.5ml (½ tsp)
Honey 2.5mls (½ tsp)
Orange or lemon essential oil (one drop) or if preferred 2 drops of vanilla essence.
1 vitamin E capsule or if preferred one crushed brewers yeast tablet.
Making your balm:
Measure oil, beeswax and cocoa butter in a glass jar in a small pan of water. Melt over low heat.
Stir the mixture until the wax is melted then remove from heat. Stir in the honey and essential oil. Add the vitamin E capsule contents (not the casing) mix well. If you want your honey to be dispersed throughout the lip balm you will need to stir it as it is solidifying. If you want to give some balm as a gift place some of the mix into a small cosmetic pot and make up a little label. Pour the mixture into containers.(ask your chemist or find a bottle/jar retailer that will allow you to buy individual items.)You can use a small glass jar to store the lip balm in

Lip Gloss
What you will need:
(75 to 90 ml) jojoba
(15 ml) beeswax
2 teaspoons pure honey
10 drops essential oil of cherry or vanilla essence or 5 drops of tea tree essential oil for problem lips
You can add to this mix ½ tube favourite coloured moisturising lipstick
Melt together the oil and beeswax, in a jar placed in a small pan of water over low heat until wax is melted. Use the larger amount of oil if you want a thinner, glossier consistency. Remove from heat. Add honey and blend mixture thoroughly.
If you are adding colour to the gloss add lipstick when the mix is still hot.
Stir the mixture occasionally as it cools to prevent separation. It should have the consistency of petroleum jelly when ready.
Add the essential oils after the gloss has almost cooled and stir thoroughly. You can place this in little pots and give as gifts.
Have fun with this... This is great stuff ladies
