A HIV-positive circus acrobat accused of knowingly infecting a former lover with the virus will stand trial on the Gold Coast.

A committal hearing against former Zimbabwean performer Godfrey Zaburoni finished in Southport Magistrate's Court this morning with the 32-year-old ordered to stand trial on one count of grievous bodily harm and another of committing an act intending to cause grievous bodily harm.

No date has been set for the case, which will be held at Southport District Court.

Police allege Mr Zaburoni infected his former partner with HIV during their 18-month relationship across 2007-2008.

They also allege he has known of his condition since 1998.

Yes, that was the case until recently. Sadly, I think that's about to change. In recent weeks I have noticed quite a few niggers in my streets. I cringe every time I see one because frankly I'm just not used to it. Five or ten years ago or even ONE year ago, you almost NEVER saw a nigger here. They were VERY rare.

No I haven't. I was in Melbourne last year but didn't have the chance to explore the city very far.
