[good intro to the topic - this is a comment on the white fag post from the other thread]
But his ignorance is in thinking that because he does not personally oppress people of a different gender or race, he is not benefiting from oppression. What most people here have critiqued him on is not his experience, but his ignorance about acknowledging his privilege. He states that he feels personally accused as an oppressor- this is a common misconception of people in a privileged position, but it is false. He is not being personally accused when people talk about white male privilege- like someone said below "It's not about you." - and for many people, the complaining about white male's hurt feelings whenever minorities and women speak out gets old.
The guilty party thinks guilt is assigned to individuals because of something they did. But the left assigns guilt by class. If you belong to the wrong class, you're guilty. And they will be happy to wipe you out - quite literally, as in the case of, say, kulaks in the Ukraine.
It is this systemic, unsmiling, hate-shot ideological politics that has allowed the judeo-left to run roughshod over everthing-on-two-feet-has-a-soul christian individualism. The right, for good and bad, has never been able to generate the level of hate the left seems to possess without making any effort at all. Hate pours out of the left effortlessly - see the kayla creature in the opps thread here at VNNF. Whereas we, or most of us, have to actually work to generate hate. What we feel is more disdain, disgust, repulsion, or simple anger that basic facts are being overlooked or suppressed.
We are white bunnies doing battle with a juggernaut until we at least formally and ideologically develop some genuine class hatred of our own. The NS were the closest to doing so, but even they were not thorough or consistent enough. This is why i have harped for years on the danger of allowing, in our hearts and politics, the personal to trump the political. That we "like" someone, the man or his writing, doesn't matter if he doesn't have the right politics. If he aint us, he aint us. An absolute line must be drawn or we are open to subversion.
