Einfeld hopes to return to public life

Former federal court judge Marcus Einfeld wants to devote himself to prison reform after walking free from a two-year prison sentence.

The 72-year-old was sentenced to three years' jail with a non-parole period of two years, after he was found guilty of lying in court over a $77 speeding fine.

Mr Einfeld, dressed in a smart suit, walked free from Silverwater jail this morning, stopping on the way out to tell media he was grateful to family and friends who had supported him during what had been "the worst period in my life".

"I'm desperately sorry for letting them and the community down so badly," he said.

"I've certainly learned a very painful lesson."

While in prison hundreds of outsiders, mostly strangers, wrote to him and sent books and crossword puzzles.

"Some people apparently like me," he said.

Fellow inmates and prison staff at Silverwater also showed him kindness and respect while he was behind bars, he added.

He now wants to return to public work, and devote himself to "serious prison reform".

"Subject to recovering my health I propose to return to my public work to which I have devoted so much of my life," he said.

Prison reform work he wants to be involved with would include looking at mental health problems, such as depression among prisoners.

Mr Einfeld's immediate priority on Saturday was to see his 98-year-old mother, who he said was anxious to see him.

"I also want to have a decent cup of tea and go to a few Roosters games," he said.

Under conditions of his release, Mr Enfield will have to report to a parole officer for another year.

As a Judge, Einfeld should have got a longer sentence. He deliberately lied and got others to lie for him. Like other jews he believes the rules do not apply to him. Now he is out and can live off his pension. The contempt he displayed for Australian law over a simple speeding ticket was staggering.

No, the police had not warned me befoerhand nor afterwareds. A policeman simply turned up, asked me a few questions and than charged me on spot. I was given two pieces of paper. One to order me to turn up at the watch house to have my picture and fingeer prints taken. A second piece of paper to tell me to turn up at the court hours three weeks later.

Yes, I was represented at court by the duty solicitor or what ever you call him. You know, the solicitor they have at the court house to represent you free of charge.

At court, the police said that I said I didn't like blacks.

Wehn I was waiting to go into the court chamber, two big fat coon police officers were standing outside the waiting room laughing at me and pointing at me.

When I was having my finger prints taken, the coon officer put black ink on my hands and said that I'm black now.

I guess the whole affair gave me an insight into the real racial situation in the police force and how rude, arrogant and pig headed and dare I say hypocritical the Aboriginal police liason officers are. I learned a lot and won't forget.

The police intimidation in Queensland apparently works against Whites and abos.

I have seen police violently hassle abos in public places such as the mall in Brisbane on the pretence of public drinking, but they were silly enough to do it in front of security cameras, and the footage ends up on television.

Part of the historical problem with the police force in Queensland is that the State Government can not be held to account by the upper house of the QLD parliament because it was abolished by a Labor government in the 1930's.

I did not make threats to commit a Columbine style massacre at Warwick State High School. Those rumours were started by people who were enemies of me.

There are many people not just in Warwick but also around the country who for some reason hate my guts.

In July 2008, certain unknown people called the place where I was supposed to start work experience, Warwick High and my father. They told them a hole heap of lies that were defaming. I personally only became aware of certain claims but was not told of all of the claims. Furthermore, I was not told who those people were.

The Stalinist League ceased to exist in Septembr 2009. I joined Australia First in April 2006 but was expelled in July 2006. I joined the Australia First Party in December 2009 and left in April 2011 over a disagreement with the Queensland Secretary and the Party's state officials. All of that is public knowledge. DISGRACED former Federal Court judge Marcus Einfeld risks going back to jail if allegations he failed to exchange details after a car accident are proven.

Details emerged yesterday of a driving incident in Sydney's CBD where a woman claimed that a man, who she believed to be Einfeld, ran into her car but refused to give his particulars because he did not think the damage was serious enough.

The 72-year-old retired judge is serving 12 months' parole after being released from jail in March. The case stemmed from a series of lies he concocted to avoid incurring demerit points on his licence after being issued with a $77 speeding ticket in 2006.

Last night police confirmed that they were investigating a "minor fail to stop accident" which involved a black-coloured Volkswagen Tiguan, registered in Einfeld's name.

The accident is alleged to have occurred outside a beauty salon on Clarence St about 4pm on June 5.

The Daily Telegraph has been told that Einfeld's car was parked in front of a black-coloured Honda Accord sedan and allegedly reversed into it, slightly damaging the front bumper.

When the owner of the Honda returned to her vehicle and saw the front-end damage, it is alleged that she asked a man if it was his car parked in front of hers.

The woman allegedly asked for the man's name and phone number but he refused to provide them. She then reported the matter to police.

An infringement notice issued to Einfeld, as the registered owner of the car, was to be served on him this week but it is understood police were unable to find him when they went to the Woollahra address his car is registered to.

If it is proven that it was Einfeld who failed to exchange details, he could have breached his parole conditions and could face going back to jail.

Under the terms of Einfeld's parole it states "the offender is to be of good behaviour and must not during the term of the order commit any offence".

The Daily Telegraph understands the Parole Board will now consider whether to issue a warrant to revoke Einfeld's parole, if he is found to have committed an offence by not exchanging details. A friend of Einfeld said he was "not contactable" yesterday.
