Not typically a movie I'd bother watching, as I remember watching the first one and thought it was mediocre. But over Thanksgiving I was over my sister's home in Savannah, Georgia, and her kids were playing the DVD over and over again.

I thought the film was very good. I happen to like animation, and this film certainly had some state of the art animation. About 95 percent of sequels suck, but I thought this one was much better than the original. The mini-parodies in the film were clever.

Some of reviewers on Stormfront thought the film promoted race-mixing, as Shrek was supposedly a Negro, but when he was changed by a spell into a human he was an old world type European white male. I suppose one can read anything into anything. Myself I didn't find anything "anti-white" in the film. Eddie Murphy's voice-over for the donkey was a bit annoying, but a voice-over isn't as offensive as a negro character.

I liked the film's rendition of the David Bowie song "Changes" sung by some Australian female vocalist.

Even if the film is not your cup of tea, some good entertainment for the kiddies.

One of the things that interested me about the movie was the donkey. Obviously a groid but when it converted to a white stallion it recognized that being strong and white was the symbol of beauty.

Through out the movie Aryan features were presented as symbolic of the ideal of beauty. However it also went to show that looks didn’t matter and all that mattered was true love or your feelings. Unfortunately the negative outweighed the positive.

Wouldn't be a movie I'd normally go out of my way to see, but it was playing over my sister's home and was kind of drawn into it.

The animation is to the point where that alone is almost enough to make it interesting. It's very close to the animated film "Final Fantasy", which is a bit of a novelty film.

I thought they threw in Eddie Murphy to keep the multi-cultural police at bay. The film setting reminds me of Walt Disney animation (pre-Eisner) and reflects a white world.

I don't believe the film promoted race-mixing (I think WN's tend to be a bit paranoid) but rather a notion that someone's character and inner soul is more important than something superficial, such as looks.

Kids seem to like the film quite a bit but not bad for adults, either.

For anyone who's interested, "shrek" is yiddish for "fear", "fright", or "monster". Knowing that, I've never been able to like this movie, thinking that it's some kind of a jewish private joke...

I've never seen either Shrek movie. First of all, Shrek looks like a big green nigger, and there is the Eddie Murphy/donkey. And then it's made by Eisner's Disney. I figured it was the usual piece of shit.
