------------- Korean Times Story below --------------
New US Homeland Chief Fathered Daughter in Korea
By Reuben Staines , Staff Reporter
Bernard Kerik, the man tasked with protecting the United States from the threat of terrorist attacks, fathered a daughter with a South Korean woman  while serving on the peninsula in the mid-1970s, U.S. media reported over the weekend.
Kerik, who was selected to replace Tom Ridge as secretary of the Homeland Security Department on Thursday, had the baby with a woman identified as Sun-ja after arriving in South Korea as a 19-year-old military policeman in December 1974, according to several reports.
The baby, named Lisa, was born in 1975. But Kerik deserted her and her mother when he left the country in February 1976.
In his 2001 autobiography, titled "The Lost Son: A Life in Pursuit of Justice", Kerik called the decision "a mistake I will always regret, and I pray to God that one day I can make it right." He said Sun-ja, who later married another U.S. soldier, had not allowed him to meet his daughter until seeing him on The Oprah Winfrey Show following his Sept. 11 heroics.
Sun-ja arranged for the two to meet after 26 years of separation and they appeared together at Kerik's retirement dinner as police chief at the New York Sheraton in 2002.
Kerik named Lisa along with his two other daughters and son during his acceptance speech for the Homeland Security post.
The 49-year-old also recollected his first encounter with the Korean martial art, taekwondo, during his tour on the peninsula, which he described as a source of inspiration throughout his career.
Kerik's appointment has drawn considerable interest in the U.S. due to his colorful past and prominent role after Sept. 11. With the news of his daughter, the South Korea media seem likely to pay similarly close attention.

But Kerik deserted her and her mother when he left the country in February 1976.
She's probably doing nails in Jersey, hustling drinks in Honolulu, selling Meth in San Jose, or her pussy in Walker Hill.
He's the son of an alcoholic convicted prostitute (Patricia Bailey) who abandoned him when he was 4 years old. His mother was later found battered to death in her pimp's bed. I'll give Kerik credit for making somthing of his life- too bad he's wasting his time and risking his reputation by heading up the new USSA KGB.

having spent years in the company of taekwondoers, I can say he is probably not the brightest light in the chandelier.

Several of us wrote about him in a thread on the main discussion forum a couple days ago. I read "Lost Son" and was surprised about his mother and what happened to her. I guess he wanted people to know his story, I'd rather have somebody from his background in that position than one of the naive , rich boys that usually get it.

Yes, I am still learning how to properly use VNN. That discussion can be found here: http://vnnforum.com/showthread.php?t=12878
Here is some additional information about him from the NY Post: http://www.nypost.com/business/35781.htm
... a timely recent sale of stock in a company called Taser International, Inc., where he has been serving as an outside member of the board, has made the nation's soon-to-be-confirmed new Secretary of Homeland Security nearly $6 million richer than he was just three weeks ago.
---------- SNIP ----------
When it comes to companies about which a curious mind would want to know more, Taser International is at the top of the list.
This NASDAQ-listed company produces a pistol-like device that fires a dart-type projectile attached to several yards of filament-fine electrical wire connected to a battery. Once the dart is embedded in the skin of a victim, the battery sends a disabling jolt of high voltage electricity down the wire and into the victim, knocking him instantly to the ground in a brief but intense fit of twitching and convulsing that is suggestive of an epileptic seizure.
In the wake of the 9/11 attacks and the furor that erupted over whether airline pilots should be armed, the Taser folks began hawking their stun gun as a "non-lethal" alternative to conventional firearms and thus just the thing to make air travel safe again.
Tasers failed to make much headway with the airlines. But police departments were another story, and as they began placing orders the company's stock price exploded, soaring 4,800 percent since January.
Yet the success story of Taser International has a dark side, for although the company has insisted from the outset that its weapons are non-lethal, evidence to the contrary has been piling up.
The company's problems began to multiply last June when the New York Times reported that Taser's safety claims have been based on a 1996 series of tests involving a pig, and a 1999 study involving five dogs. Both studies were commissioned and paid for by Taser.
To bolster its claims for the safety of Taser stun guns, the company issued a press release on October 18th asserting that a recently concluded but as yet unpublished U.S. military study had found the Taser stun gun to be safe as a non-lethal alternative to conventional firearms. Then on November 26, the Times reported that the U.S. Air Force laboratory that had conducted the study had not found Tasers to be safe at all.
Last week, Amnesty International weighed in with its own report, citing research showing that 76 people in the U.S. and Canada have died following jolts from Tasers since the weapons were first introduced into those markets in 2001.

For the moment, Kerik seems comfortably in the clear, for whatever his reasons may have been for selling his shares, they are now changing hands for almost exactly what they were selling for when he unloaded them on Nov. 11th...
The author seems to be hinting that perhaps some insider trading has occurred. One also wonders how he managed to acquire the stock, who recommended it, and how much he has been helping boost the price by advocating the use of tasers. These tasers are probably safe to use against people in good health, but I've read of them being used by nigs & skins against whites with no provocation.
Here, 3 jews discuss Kerik: http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=04/12/07/1451239
AMY GOODMAN: That was to do with the photographs taken by detectives at the World Trade Center site. He agreed to pay $2500 to settle the --
FRED KAPLAN: Twenty-five hundred, I'm sorry, you’re right.
AMY GOODMAN: Conflict of interest board finding that he'd improperly used three city cops to travel to Ohio to learn details about his mother for the book. But the reason I raise the issue also of the publisher and what happened when she lost her cell phone and some jewelry–this was also raised in the current Vanity Fair issue profile of her–is, as head of Homeland Security, he's dealing with issues of, well, security here at home involving very much people's privacy. Can you address that? What actually happened?
ELLIS HENICAN: Well, the story essentially is that Ms. Regan, who is his publisher, lost a cell phone one day at Fox; and the story goes that he sent out some New York Police detectives to go into the homes in the evening of the hair and make-up people at the Fox news channel to investigate the disappearance of that cell phone.
FRED KAPLAN: Didn't he have them fingerprinted, Ellis? Do you remember that?
ELLIS HENICAN: You know, I forget that detail. But I know that it was an extraordinary police effort to – to hunt down a missing cell phone.
AMY GOODMAN: Mm-hmm.
ELLIS HENICAN: I've lost a couple and I don't remember --
AMY GOODMAN: Rousting people.
ELLIS HENICAN: Any similar investigative efforts --
FRED KAPLAN: At least one of them was a homicide cop.
ELLIS HENICAN: I think that's correct.
AMY GOODMAN: Rousting some of the employees of the publishing house --
ELLIS HENICAN: These were actually they were Fox News Channel employees.
AMY GOODMAN: Oh. Fox. Uh-huh.
ELLIS HENICAN: Yeah. Because the cell phone had apparently disappeared while she was -- while she was accompanying him for an interview at the Fox News Channel.
AMY GOODMAN: And, finally, the issue of his foundation, Bernard Kerik's foundation when he was head of the New York -- when he was -- Was it head of New York Police, or when he was Corrections Commissioner?
ELLIS HENICAN: Now we're talking about the foundation in the tobacco money?
AMY GOODMAN: Yes.
ELLIS HENICAN: For years, the tobacco companies sold cigarettes to the corrections department who then sold them to the inmates, and as part of that business arrangement, “rebates” is the word they use in that industry, rebates were given and put not into the general fund of the city or the Correction Department's funds, but into a nonprofit corporation that Mr. Kerik was the president of. And that allowed that money to be spent outside of the normal public expenditure rules in New York, and for the longest time, and I believe even until this day, we have never gotten a very clear accounting of where that money went. When – when the -- that fund was revealed, they have since changed that policy. But I think what you see, Amy, is a series of things of a guy who takes a very creative view about how the traditional rules don't necessarily have to apply in each of these instances.
All told, Kerik seems to be the typical political player preferred by Cheney/Bush/Neocons: someone who cashes in on business connections to which he has influence via his position, someone who will misuse power for personal and even political reasons. Earlier in this same program is discussed the support he has from the New York establishment. Indeed, NY and LA are probably the two prime targets of potential terrorists with WMD, although I think these people below the top levels are all living in delusion about Homeland Security making America safe. If someone wanted to smuggle in a nuke, all he would have to do would be to put it inside a bale of marijuana. It's an open secret in Washington D.C. that failure to close the border with Mexico means permanent vulnerability and probably another major 'incident' is inevitable.
My take on this guy is that his purpose is to provide cover for the further erosion of freedom. Whatever racialist leanings he might have once had aren't going to affect his execution of orders from above. Indeed, I see the country moving toward a Latin American style kleptocracy, with 'security' becoming tighter not to protect the people from terrorists, but to protect the usurers and propagandists from the 'people,' especially to prevent any 'regime change' that might seem desireable to the unthinking masses when the SHTF.
