PEACE ON EARTH is a classic christmas cartoon made in 1939, by MGM. I saw it on christmas eve last year on cartoon network. In the story father opposum is explaining to the kiddies why there are no men left on earth because of all the wars that were fought. He tells them that men kept finding more reasons to fight and it shows the bombs being dropped and the soldiers shooting at each other until no men were left on earth, to say "goodwill to men". I read on the toon forum that it was nominated for an academy award and the nobel peace prize .

They're going to show it again this year on christmas eve. It is very touching as the animals listen to the stories about the devastation of wars and what could happen. It's really sad too, since it didn't prevent wwtwo from coming.

I've never seen this.
