These links are great. If you get to the end they lead to links to many battles of WWII. Paulus was wrong to suggest that the Germans could have escaped Stalingrad.. They would have either been killed in retreat or faced the same fate as Napoleon in Waterloo of freezing to death. When it was suggested that they commit suicide that was stupid. Why use the pistol on yourself instead of using it to shoot as many of the Red army as you could before they got you. Surrender was also stupid since over 90% of them didn't survive the POW camps. Hitler was right and fighting to the last man was the only way to go.
