The highly talented and witty Scottish Barrie is portrayed by med Depp, who looks like Ricky Ricardo throughout. Depp's Barrie is a bore. Barrie and his very pretty wife apparently don't know that when you get married, you are supposed to take your clothes off, have sex, have kids etc. Despite being young, good looking, talented, rich, all they do is act politely bored, get uptight, and bicker. A lot of time is devoted to a neighbor family that has cute kids but is also of no interest. The overall message is a completely unhealthy one about the joy of escaping into a fantasy land.

This movie should appeal to homos who are trying to pass as straight and who have an unusual but platonic interest in small boys.
