I dont keep up with the movies but I saw National Treasure a little while ago. Its a long story as to why I went but its not something I regularly do.

Im going to keep this very brief and to the point.

Dont bother seeing it. The main bad guy in the movie is a blonde haired guy. Hes played by the dude who played Boromir in Lord of the Rings. The one who died in the 1st film. (I hope thats Boromir and not Foromir..or one of those mir's).

The main hero is Nicholas Cage. Theres some sort of secret passed down in the family about a big ol' treasure hidden by the Americans. When he grows up he starts searching for it and this movie is about his adventures. He is accompanied by a scrawny White guy that is very brainy and provides "humor" throughout the movie with random comments which are supposed to make you laugh. You know, the standard thing. Later on he is joined by a nordic woman.

I dont think I need to go further as Im sure you can guess how the movie probably ends. I suppose if they cant get a non-White to hook up with the blonde White woman, then theyll just put a dark haired guy and make the nordic guy "evil". Although I dont know if the blonde guy is actually nordic but thats certainly what the movie wants you to think.

Nothing special here. Dont bother. Just typical Hymiewood trash.

All you gotta say is Nikki Cage, and I know to avoid it.

I do want to see Lemony Snicket with Jim Carrey, but will wait till it comes out on video.

A question for him who knows: We have a Movie Gallery here in Kirksville MO. You can rent "gallery" -- ie, non-new releases -- for .99 for several days. And get-one-free-if... You can get 5 gallery releases for total cost of 2.97, tax included. Is that true where you are?

New releases are $3-4. I rarely get them. Wanted to get "People I know," but need DVD-capable TV. The movie gallery here is now about 50-50 tapes and DVDs. I guess another two years and they'll be out with post-DVD technology.
