I saw an interesting biography of Cindy Crawford the other week. One of the most, if not the most successful supermodels ever (although a bit overexposed).

When Crawford come onto the modelling circuit she bucked the traditional blue-eyed, blonde hair mold, and is typical of what comes out of the quality, undilluted white gene pool in the Mid-West. Always stuck to a healthy lifestyle, which is atypical of many of the top models.

She invested her money well, and has several business ventures, although her main activity now is family life, and raising a white son with a white man (once married to Richard Gere).

Her looks are fairly unique, which probably contributed to her success. I haven't found an exact breakdown of her ethnicity, other than "American".
