There's varying opinions on the dangers of the INDIVIDUAL homosexual. Is the Gay Rights Movement ANTI-WHITE?

This is the crux of the question. There are various feelings about homosexuality and White Nationalism. There are several different opinions on that subject, and each side feels passionate about their stance. The thing that I have noticed, reading the many posts about the subject, is this: The argument is always about the INDIVIDUAL on a case by case basis.

The most common argument that I hear regarding homosexuals is one of privacy. “What 2 consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home is none of my business.” I very much agree with this statement, because it has far reaching implications that can be applied to any situation.

Just once, I would like to not discuss the individual homosexuals, but instead discuss the THEIR MOVEMENT. The Gay Rights Movement. There are too many opinions about whether a white homosexual can be pro-white in their beliefs. We all have our stances on that subject. While I would like to believe that the majority of WN’s are against homosexuality (as an act, lifestyle, and movement), I want to why the GAY RIGHTS movement is inherently dangerous to WNism, if not directly then by proxy. And if the Movement is Anti-White, isn’t everyone that supports the movement (activism, political, theoretical, and by voting habits) then Anti-White as well?

Argument #1: Who cares if Gays get the right to be married? How’s this affect WHITES?

5. Censoring evidence that the "gay gene" is a hoax. After all, it would have to be multiple genes interacting together.

6. Censoring speech against homosexuality by branding it to possibly be "hate-speech"

7. Censoring biblical statements condemning homosexuality

8. Lobbying for equal employment rights. **Note** Using Affirmtive Action Lawsw for preferential treatment and consideration.

9. Expand hate crimes legislation to include sexual orientation, which would be equally wrong for heterosexuals to do.

10. Ending the military's and Boy Scout's restrictions on homosexuality

11. Stopping children as young as 5 years old from attending therapy to repair their sexual preference

12. Teach tolerance of homosexuals in schools.

13. Demands protections from job discrimination (see number 8 above)

There is much confusion about the definition of the term Pedophilia. Most people assume that attraction to minors is pedophilia, but that is incorrect. Pedophilia is the specific sexual attraction to Pre-Pubescent children. Ephebophilia is the attraction to adolescents (after the onset of puberty), and is NOT addressed or factored into in any of the studies that I have posted.

Pedophilia is more common among gays.

Child molestation and pedophilia occur far more commonly among homosexuals than among heterosexuals on a per capita basis, according to a new study.

"Overwhelming evidence supports the belief that homosexuality is a sexual deviancy often accompanied by disorders that have dire consequences for our culture," wrote Steve Baldwin in, "Child Molestation and the Homosexual Movement," soon to be published by the Regent University Law Review.

Baldwin is the executive director of the Council for National Policy in Washington, D.C.

A 1988 study detailed in Baldwin's report found that most pedophiles even consider themselves to be "gay." According to the study, "Archives of Sexual Behavior," some 86 percent of pedophiles described themselves as homosexual or bisexual. Also, the study found, the number of teenage male prostitutes who identify as homosexuals has risen from 10 percent to 60 percent in the past 15 years.

"It is difficult to convey the dark side of the homosexual culture without appearing harsh," wrote Baldwin. "However, it is time to acknowledge that homosexual behavior threatens the foundation of Western civilization – the nuclear family."

Though the homosexual community and much of the media scoff at such accusations, Baldwin – who chaired the California Assembly's Education committee, where he fought against support for the homosexual agenda in the state's public schools – says in his report that homosexual activists' "efforts to target children both for their own sexual pleasure and to enlarge the homosexual movement" constitute an "unmistakable" attack on "the family unit."

Baldwin's research is substantiated in a recently completed body of work written by Dr. Judith Reisman, president of the Institute for Media Education and author of numerous authoritative books debunking sexual myths, including "Kinsey, Crimes & Consequences."

In her thesis – also written for the Regent University Law Review – Reisman cited psychologist Eugene Abel, whose research found that homosexuals "sexually molest young boys with an incidence that is occurring from five times greater than the molestation of girls. …"
Abel also found that non-incarcerated "child molesters admitted from 23.4 to 281.7 acts per offender … whose targets were males."

"The rate of homosexual versus heterosexual child sexual abuse is staggering," said Reisman, who was the principal investigator for an $800,000 Justice Department grant studying child pornography and violence. "Abel’s data of 150.2 boys abused per male homosexual offender finds no equal (yet) in heterosexual violations of 19.8 girls."

Jay Heavener, spokesman for PFLAG – Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, counters that federal crime data refute claims that homosexuals molest children at higher rates than heterosexuals.

"According to data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), this claim is false," he told WND by e-mail. "The gay and lesbian community calls into question any dubious research which flies in the face of our own experience."

And Gary Schoener, a clinical psychologist who has been diagnosing and treating clergy abuse for 28 years, told Salon.com, "There are far more heterosexual cases than homosexual."

In terms of sheer numbers, that may be true. But in terms of numbers of children abused per offender, homosexuals abuse with far greater frequency; and boys, research shows, are the much-preferred target.

Baldwin says evidence he examined disproves the assertion that child molestation is more prevalent among heterosexuals. Both he and Reisman found that media coverage of adult homosexual abuse of minors is also slanted.

The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) recently boasted that although homosexuals are less than two percent of the population, three-fourths of the people who decide the content of the front page of the New York Times are homosexual," Reisman wrote. **Note** Blatant media manipulation!!!

That one fact is especially noteworthy, experts point out, given the recent child sex scandals taking place within the American Catholic church.
A survey by WorldNetDaily of recent news reports found that rarely did the media describe priestly sexual abuse as "homosexual" or "gay" activity – even though the worst incidents involved male-to-male contact, and a spate of investigative reports has revealed that the Vatican is concerned about an upsurge of homosexuals in seminary schools throughout the world.

Gay press promotes sex with children

Baldwin says his research not only "confirms that homosexuals molest children at a rate vastly higher than heterosexuals," but it found that "the mainstream homosexual culture" even "commonly promotes sex with children."

"The editorial board of the leading pedophile academic journal, Paidika, is dominated by prominent homosexual scholars such as San Francisco State University professor John DeCecco, who happens to edit the Journal of Homosexuality," Baldwin wrote.
During his research, he also found:

The Journal of Homosexuality recently published a special double-issue entitled, "Male Intergenerational Intimacy," containing many articles portraying sex between men and minor boys as loving relationships. One article said parents should look upon the pedophile who loves their son "not as a rival or competitor, not as a theft of their property, but as a partner in the boy's upbringing, someone to be welcomed into their home."

**Note** You read that right. The Jorunal of Homosexuality said that parents should WELCOME Pedophiles into their homes!

In 1995 the homosexual magazine "Guide" said, "We can be proud that the gay movement has been home to the few voices who have had the courage to say out loud that children are naturally sexual" and "deserve the right to sexual expression with whoever they choose. …" The article went on to say: "Instead of fearing being labeled pedophiles, we must proudly proclaim that sex is good, including children's sexuality … we must do it for the children's sake."

Larry Kramer, the founder of ACT-UP, a noted homosexual activist group, wrote in his book, "Report from the Holocaust: The Making of an AIDS Activist": "In those instances where children do have sex with their homosexual elders, be they teachers or anyone else, I submit that often, very often, the child desires the activity, and perhaps even solicits it."

In a study of advertisements in the influential homosexual newspaper, The Advocate, Reisman found ads for a "Penetrable Boy Doll … available in three provocative positions. She also found that the number of erotic boy images in each issue of The Advocate averaged 14.
Homosexual newspapers and travel publications advertise prominently for countries where boy prostitution is heavy, such as Burma, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

And don't forget the mainstream media. Even though homosexuals make up only 2% of the general US population, 3/4 of the staff that decides the front page of The New York Times are homosexuals. That is grossly disproportionate, and leads to sever media bias and manipulation.

"Research on the homosexual lifestyle confirms it is almost exclusively a youth-oriented culture," Baldwin wrote. "Very few gays exhibit preference for older men."

"Some admit to focus on teenage boys," he said, "some on prepubescent boys, and many cross over between categories."

A 1988 study detailed in Baldwin's report found that most pedophiles even consider themselves to be "gay." According to the study, "Archives of Sexual Behavior," some 86 percent of pedophiles described themselves as homosexual or bisexual. Also, the study found, the number of teenage male prostitutes who identify as homosexuals has risen from 10 percent to 60 percent in the past 15 years.

When asked what he thought about critics who attempt to debunk his research, Baldwin said the results speak for themselves. "For them to say this theory is false is to call many of the homosexual movement's leaders liars," he said. "Most of my evidence comes right from the gay community." "I managed to find enough evidence that my thesis – child molestation is an integral part of the homosexual movement – is a valid thesis," Baldwin told WorldNetDaily.

Other experts have also found a distinct pattern between child sex abusers and the incidence of homosexuality.

"How long can psychologists be in denial about the significance of the dark side, and ignore what it implies about the homosexual condition? And there's a matter of even greater concern. How long will psychologists eagerly throw open the door to gay life for every sexually confused teenager?" writes Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D, on behalf of NARTH – the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality – a group that says it exists to "provide psychological understanding of the cause, treatment and behavior patterns associated with homosexuality, within the boundaries of a civil public dialogue."

The North American Man-Boy Love Association, or NAMBLA, is "a group that openly promotes sex with minor boys and claims that boy-lovers respond to the needs of the boys they love," Baldwin said in his report.

The group is often endorsed by "many of the homosexual movement's most prominent leaders," he said.

Advocacy moving to schools

Promotion of the "gay and lesbian lifestyle" is increasing in the nation's public schools.

A WND survey of homosexual-oriented websites found that almost every group has some sort of program to "educate" teachers, school administrators and other school employees about the homosexual lifestyle:

GLSEN – the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network – bills itself as "the largest national network of parents, students, educators and others" specifically formed to end "discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression in K-12 schools. Two recent press released boasted of the Broward County (Fla.) school board approving GLSEN-sponsored "training for teachers." A student activist working with GLSEN officials has managed to "give voice" recently to "gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered students" at California schools.

PFLAG has created a national campaign called, "From Our House to the Schoolhouse," distributing to school officials – among other materials – a booklet entitled, "Just the Facts About Sexual Orientation and Youth: A Primer For Principals, Educators, & School Personnel. Though most school-related programs are sold to administrators and parents as programs designed simply to end persecution of homosexuals and lesbians, none disclose what Baldwin says is compelling evidence that homosexuality is harmful to children.
"What … does the academic literature say about the relationship between homosexuality and child molestation? Quite a bit, actually," he wrote, quoting data compiled by the Family Research Institute: "Scientific studies confirm a strong pedophilic predisposition among homosexuals."

The institute, after reviewing more than 19 studies and peer-reviewed reports in a 1985 "Psychological Reports" article, found that homosexuals account for between 25 and 40 percent of all child molestation.

**NOTE** Homosexuals make up approximately 2.9% of the US population. This means that 2.9% of the population is responsible for up to 40% of all child molestation charges!!!!! Very similiar to the statistics that show Negroes only make up 14% of the US population, yet account for 60% of the prison population.

"But this number is low," Baldwin says, "due to the fact that many reporters will not report if a child molester is a homosexual, even if he knows that to be the case."

Rate of molestation

Research also indicates the rate of molestation at the hands of homosexuals is higher than among heterosexuals.

Judith Reisman, president of the Institute for Media Education, says that Department of Justice statistics show that 67 percent of all reported sex abuse victims are children and 64 percent of forcible sodomy victims are boys under 12.

The Baptist Press also reports that a study a study by Dr. Gene Abel, director of the Behavioral Medicine Institute in Atlanta, which was published in 1987 in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence, found that homosexuals sexually molest young boys with an incidence five times greater than the molestation rate of girls. The study found that 150 boys are molested by one male homosexual offender, compared to 19.8 girls by heterosexual offenders.

This is especially telling because according to a survey commissioned last year by the pro-homosexual Human Rights Campaign, only 2.9% of the population is homosexual. This means that while only making up a tiny portion of the overall population, the perpetration of male molestation by homosexuals is greater than the much larger general population. The institute, after reviewing more than 19 studies and peer-reviewed reports in a 1985 "Psychological Reports" article, found that homosexuals account for between 25 and 40 percent of all child molestation.

This behavior would seem to go hand in hand with findings that homosexual males were molested as children at much higher rates than heterosexual men: 35% versus 4%; one study found a ratio as high as 46% to 7%. As a former law enforcement official, the information we had indicated that people who were molested as children have a greater likelihood of perpetrating that behavior on others when they grow up.

Do all homosexuals molest? No.

But if a person is willing to step over the line of one standard of sexual conduct to perform acts that are immoral, unnatural and unhealthy, how likely is it they may reach the point where they are willing to step over even more critical ones? The breaking down of moral barriers and progressive depravity is a step-by-step process for most offenders that gets worse with each new stage.

The primary duty of government is to protect innocent citizens from harm. Except for children still in the womb, there are no human beings more vulnerable to harm than children. The state must stop treating children as if they were merely pets to be passed around and start rigorously protecting them from any substandard environment and environments that carry higher risks.

Homosexuals doing what they want in the privacy of their own homes is one thing. For the state to place children in harm’s way and to disregard the duty of the state to above all protect the innocent is unconscionable.

Report: Homosexuality Connected to Sex Abuse Epidemic

Returning now to the report by Clowes, he examined research going back more than 60 years with some interesting findings:

Alfred Kinsey, himself a homosexual and no conservative religious “homophobe” by anyone’s imagination, did research in 1948 in which he reported 37% of all male homosexuals admitted having sex with children under 17 A recent study in the Archives of Sexual Behavior found that while less than 3% of men attracted to adults are homosexual, 25-40% of men attracted to children preferred boys, meaning a homosexual attraction is 6-20 times higher among pedophiles.

Another study in that same journal found that only 39 of 48 homosexual men examined in a study preferred the two youngest male age categories: 15 and 20 year olds **Note** Folks that 81%!!!!

Yet another study in the Archives of Sexual Behavior again found less than 3% homosexuality in men attracted to adults, but homosexuality among pedophiles as high as 30-40%

A study in the Journal of Sex Research found the proportion of sex offenders against male children much higher than the molestation rate against female children by heterosexual men.

An editorial in the San Francisco Sentinel, a member of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalist’s Association stated that “The love between men and boys is at the foundation of homosexuality. For the gay community to imply that boy-love is not homosexual love is ridiculous.”
Larry Kramer, founder of the homosexual group AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT-UP), said that “I submit that often, very often, the child desires the activity, and perhaps even solicits it, either because of a natural curiosity, or because he or she is homosexual and innately knows it.”

Pat Califia, lesbian author and activist, wrote in the “mainstream” homosexual publication The Advocate: “Instead of condemning pedophiles for their involvement with lesbian and gay youth, we should be supporting them.”

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) recently sponsored a symposium in which participants discussed the removal of pedophilia from an upcoming edition of the group’s psychiatric manual of mental disorders. (See why so-called “medical” or “scientific” groups such as the APA have zero credibility with many people like myself?)

In 1988, a leading American psychological journal, Behavior Today, claimed that”Pedophilia may be a sexual orientation rather than a sexual deviation. This raises the question as to whether pedophiles may have rights.”

These are very troubling findings–including these statements that excuse, condone and legitimize child molestation. But why such a substantial connection between homosexuality and child molestation?

The answers are probably complicated, but there are some strong indicators AidsMap in England published an article last year concerning the link between childhood sexual abuse and risky sexual behavior. Of the 4,244 homosexual men in the study, 40% of them reported childhood sexual abuse. When nearly half of the subjects report that they have been molested as children, a strong link is indicated.

World renowned “sexologist,” Dr. Fred Berlin of Johns Hopkins University gave the keynote address, saying: “I want to completely support the goal of B4U-ACT.”

Highlights of the conference:

1. Pedophiles are “unfairly stigmatized and demonized” by society.

2. There was concern about “vice-laden diagnostic criteria” and “cultural baggage of wrongfulness.”

3. “We are not required to interfere with or inhibit our child’s sexuality.”

4. “Children are not inherently unable to consent” to sex with an adult.

5. “In Western culture sex is taken too seriously.”

6. “Anglo-American standard on age of consent is new [and ‘Puritanical’]. In Europe it was always set at 10 or 12. Ages of consent beyond that are relatively new and very strange, especially for boys. They’ve always been able to have sex at any age.”

7. An adult’s desire to have sex with children is “normative.”

8. Our society should “maximize individual liberty. … We have a highly moralistic society that is not consistent with liberty.”

9. “Assuming children are unable to consent lends itself to criminalization and stigmatization.”

10. “These things are not black and white; there are various shades of gray.”

11. A consensus belief by both speakers and pedophiles in attendance was that, because it vilifies MAPs, pedophilia should be removed as a mental disorder from the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), in the same manner homosexuality was removed in 1973.

12. Dr. Fred Berlin acknowledged that it was political activism, similar to that witnessed at the conference, rather than scientific considerations that successfully led to the declassification of homosexuality as a mental disorder. The reason “homosexuality was taken out of DSM is that people didn’t want the government in the bedroom,” he said. Dr. Berlin appeared to endorse the politically maligned clinical practice of “reparative therapy” for homosexuals and pedophiles alike, saying, “If someone, for their own reasons, doesn’t want to live a homosexual lifestyle, I tell them that it’s hard but I’ll try to help them.”

13. The DSM ignores that pedophiles “have feelings of love and romance for children” in the same way adult heterosexuals and homosexuals have romantic feelings for one another.

14. “The majority of pedophiles are gentle and rational.”

15. The DSM should “focus on the needs” of the pedophile, and should have “a minimal focus on social control,” rather than obsessing about the “need to protect children.”

16. Self-descried “gay activist” and speaker Jacob Breslow said that children can properly be “the object of our attraction.” He further objectified children, suggesting that pedophiles needn’t gain consent from a child to have sex with “it” any more than we need consent from a shoe to wear it. He then used graphic, slang language to favorably describe the act of climaxing (ejaculating) “on or with” a child.

No one in attendance objected to this explicit depiction of child sexual assault.

The gay agenda and the connection to pedophilia is well established. Anyone attempting to support the gay agenda and to destroy the children and youth of the White Nationalist movement is clearly not playing with a full boat and clearly is in the enemy camp in an attempt to link the White Nationalist Movement with gays and pedophilia by lulling us to sleep as the queers inch their way into the movement while working to destroy not only the movement but our race with their vile perversions and lies.

Please take note of the fact that all of these studies were conducted by homosexuals themselves, just so no claim of anti-gay bias can be made.

These numbers are truly sickening, and the implications far-reaching. Of most concern is who exactly is going to suffer most from the strain this level of promiscuity places on our health care system. Do you know what it costs to treat an HIV/AIDS patient? Where's the money coming from?

Not to mention the fact that adoption of children by gays, many of them White children, is becoming more and more commonplace. What kind of environment is this for White children? We would look with disdain on a straight White parent who cheated on his or her spouse throughout a marriage and while raising children. Are we to look with less disdain upon homosexuals who are astronomically more promiscuous? When the "Safe School Czar" of the United States is an outspoken homosexual leader of the LGBTQ movement, your 2nd graders are taught about the wonders of homosexual relations, your 8th graders are taught about "fisting, rimming, and watersports", and your 12th graders can't get into the college of their choice because the school hasn't met their queer quota, would you then consider homosexuality to comprise a danger to us?

And finally, what happens when someone DOES perform a methodologically sound study on the children of homosexual couples? Sotirios Sarantakos' 1996 study "Children in Three Contexts" finds that children raised by homosexual couples have both social and academic adjustment problems, under-performing in language, math, sports, social interaction, learning attitude, and sexual self-identity.

Anti-Whites always act surprised to see our positions well-supported by science. Maybe you ought to drop your libtard preconceptions about "redneck racists" and actually ask yourselves if it's possible that we are taking the side of objective truth, not simply the "White side."

The social "norm" of heterosexuality is oppressive to alternate lifestyles. Who is to say heterosexuality is "normal" and alternate sexual lifestyles are "not normal"? Only a bigot would make such a claim. Nobody should cast judgement on another person simply because he/she practices something different. Humans are complex creatures and our diverse sexuality is one reflection of this. All sexualities are equal and, even though some sexual lifestyles may be practiced by a minority of the population, this certainly shouldn't make them less acceptable.

Unfortunately, our bigoted heterosexual society marginalizes, mocks, and oppresses alternate sexualities. During the past 40 years, a campaign of tolerance has helped this situation somewhat. However, tremendous oppression still exists towards those practicing alternate sexual lifestyles. The only way to end such discrimination is to normalize alternate sexual lifestyles by vigorously promoting them. By drastically increasing the numbers of gays, lesbians, bisexual, and transgender people in society, we essentially normalize alternate sexualities.

Ideally, in say 40 years (roughly two generations), we hope to realize a society in which at least 50% of all people are gay or lesbian. In slowly building up to this 40 year mark, we incrementally will (year by year) make alternate sexual lifestyles become more and more normal. Such sexualities will eventually, by definition, not be "alternative" but rather normal (due to the large percentage of the population practicing them).

TEACHING ALTERNATE SEXUAL LIFESTYLES

Older generations are a lost cause since they are typically set in their beliefs. This is why it's imperative to focus our efforts on teaching the newest generation (children) about alternate sexual lifestyles. It is critical that we teach children about all sexualities at as young an age as possible. Why? Because the younger a child is, the easier they are to reach. Waiting until a child is 8 or 9 (for example) is too late since their mind has already been polluted with bigoted ideas which are pervasive throughout society. A child should grow up being equally curious about boys and girls. Youth should be free to choose same sex relationships without any pre-conceived notions about what is "normal". When these goals are realized, discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people will end.

Now, why do homosexuals attempt to brainwash our children? Because that is when they are easily influenced. Why is it important for homosexuals to influence our children? How many times have I heard that homosexuals are just "normal, happy people"? That they are not violent, that their proclivity for violence is lower than heterosexuals even? How the word "Gay" has been hijacked by them to portray them in a "happy, go-lucky" light?

The Negative Health Effects of Homosexuality

Firstly, remember that the original clinical name for AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) was GRID (Gay-Related Immune Deficiency)

Homosexual activists attempt to portray their lifestyle as normal and healthy, and insist that homosexual relationships are the equivalent in every way to their heterosexual counterparts. Hollywood and the media relentlessly propagate the image of the fit, healthy, and well-adjusted homosexual. The reality is quite opposite to this caricature which was recently conceded by the homosexual newspaper New York Blade News:
Reports at a national conference about sexually transmitted diseases indicate that gay men are in the highest risk group for several of the most serious diseases. . . . Scientists believe that the increased number of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) cases is the result of an increase in risky sexual practices by a growing number of gay men who believe HIV is no longer a life-threatening illness.

Instability and promiscuity typically characterize homosexual relationships. These two factors increase the incidence of serious and incurable stds. In addition, some homosexual behaviours put practitioners at higher risk for a variety of ailments, as catalogued by the following research data:

Risky Sexual Behaviour on the Rise Among Homosexuals.

Despite two decades of intensive efforts to educate homosexuals against the dangers of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other stds, the incidence of unsafe sexual practices that often result in various diseases is on the rise.

· According to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), from 1994 to 1997 the proportion of homosexuals reporting having had anal sex increased from 57.6 percent to 61.2 percent, while the percentage of those reporting "always" using condoms declined from 69.6 percent to 60 percent.

· The CDC reported that during the same period the proportion of men reporting having multiple sex partners and unprotected anal sex increased from 23.6 percent to 33.3 percent. The largest increase in this category (from 22 percent to 33.3 percent) was reported by homosexuals twenty-five years old or younger.

Homosexuals Failing to Disclose Their HIV Status to Sex Partners

· A study presented July 13, 2000 at the XIII International aids Conference in Durban, South Africa disclosed that a significant number of homosexual and bisexual men with hiv "continue to engage in unprotected sex with people who have no idea they could be contracting HIV." Researchers from the University of California, San Francisco found that thirty-six percent of homosexuals engaging in unprotected oral, anal, or vaginal sex failed to disclose that they were HIV positive to casual sex partners.

· A CDC report revealed that, in 1997, 45 percent of homosexuals reporting having had unprotected anal intercourse during the previous six months did not know the HIV serostatus of all their sex partners. Even more alarming, among those who reported having had unprotected anal intercourse and multiple partners, 68 percent did not know the HIV serostatus of their partners.

Young Homosexuals are at Increased Risk. Following in the footsteps of the generation of homosexuals decimated by AIDS, younger homosexuals are engaging in dangerous sexual practices at an alarming rate.

· A Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health study of three-hundred-sixty-one young men who have sex with men (MSM) aged fifteen to twenty-two found that around 40 percent of participants reported having had anal-insertive sex, and around 30 percent said they had had anal-receptive sex. Thirty-seven percent said they had not used a condom for anal sex during their last same-sex encounter. Twenty-one percent of the respondents reported using drugs or alcohol during their last same-sex encounter.

· A five-year CDC study of 3,492 homosexual males aged fifteen to twenty-two found that one-quarter had unprotected sex with both men and women. Another cdc study of 1,942 homosexual and bisexual men with HIV found that 19 percent had at least one episode of unprotected anal sex--the riskiest sexual behaviour--in 1998 and 1997, a 50 percent increase from the previous two years.

Homosexual Promiscuity.

Studies indicate that the average male homosexual has hundreds of sex partners in his lifetime:

· A.P. Bell and M.S. Weinberg, in their classic study of male and female homosexuality, found that 43 percent of white male homosexuals had sex with 500 or more partners, with 28 percent having 1,000 or more sex partners.

· In their study of the sexual profiles of 2,583 older homosexuals published in Journal of Sex Research, Paul Van de Ven et al., found that only 2.7 percent claimed to have had sex with one partner only. The most common response, given by 21.6 percent of the respondents, was of having a hundred-one to five hundred lifetime sex partners.

· A survey conducted by the homosexual magazine Genre found that 24 percent of the respondents said they had had more than a hundred sexual partners in their lifetime. The magazine noted that several respondents suggested including a category of those who had more than a thousand sexual partners.

· In his study of male homosexuality in Western Sexuality: Practice and Precept in Past and Present Times, M. Pollak found that "few homosexual relationships last longer than two years, with many men reporting hundreds of lifetime partners."

Promiscuity among Homosexual Couples.

Even in those homosexual relationships in which the partners consider themselves to be in a committed relationship, the meaning of "committed" typically means something radically different from marriage.

· In The Male Couple, authors David P. McWhirter and Andrew M. Mattison reported that in a study of a hundred-fifty-six males in homosexual relationships lasting from one to thirty-seven years, Only seven couples have a totally exclusive sexual relationship, and these men all have been together for less than five years. Stated another way, all couples with a relationship lasting more than five years have incorporated some provision for outside sexual activity in their relationships.

· In Male and Female Homosexuality, M. Saghir and E. Robins found that the average male homosexual live-in relationship lasts between two and three years.

Unhealthy Aspects of "Monogamous" Homosexual Relationships.

Even those homosexual relationships that are loosely termed "monogamous" do not necessarily result in healthier behaviour.

· The journal AIDS reported that men involved in relationships engaged in anal intercourse and oral-anal intercourse with greater frequency than those without a steady partner. Anal intercourse has been linked to a host of bacterial and parasitical sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS.

· The exclusivity of the relationship did not diminish the incidence of unhealthy sexual acts, which are commonplace among homosexuals. An English study published in the same issue of the journal AIDS concurred, finding that most "unsafe" sex acts among homosexuals occur in steady relationships.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is a collection of more than seventy types of viruses that can cause warts, or papillomas, on various parts of the body. More than twenty types of HPV are incurable STDs that can infect the genital tract of both men and women. Most HPV infections are subclinical or asymptomatic, with only one in a hundred people experiencing genital warts.

· HPV is "almost universal" among homosexuals. According to the homosexual newspaper The Washington Blade: "A San Francisco study of Gay and bisexual men revealed that HPV infection was almost universal among HIV-positive men, and that 60 percent of HIV-negative men carried HPV."

· HPV can lead to anal cancer. At the recent Fourth International AIDS Malignancy Conference at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Andrew Grulich announced that "most instances of anal cancer are caused by a cancer-causing strain of HPV through receptive anal intercourse. HPV infects over 90 percent of HIV-positive gay men and 65 percent of HIV-negative gay men, according to a number of recent studies."

· The link between HPV and cervical cancer. Citing a presentation by Dr. Stephen Goldstone to the International Congress on Papillomavirus in Human Pathology in Paris, the Washington Blade reports that "HPV is believed to cause cervical cancer in women."

Hepatitis: A potentially fatal liver disease that increases the risk of liver cancer.

· Hepatitis A: The Mortality and Morbidity Weekly Report published by the CDC reports: "Outbreaks of hepatitis A among men who have sex with men are a recurring problem in many large cities in the industrialized world."

· Hepatitis B: This is a serious disease caused by a virus that attacks the liver. The virus, which is called hepatitis B virus (HBV), can cause lifelong infection, cirrhosis (scarring) of the liver, liver cancer, liver failure, and death. Each year in the United States, more than 200,000 people of all ages contract hepatitis B and close to 5,000 die of sickness caused by AIDS. The CDC reports that MSM are at increased risk for hepatitis B.

· Hepatitis C is an inflammation of the liver that can cause cirrhosis, liver failure and liver cancer. The virus can lie dormant in the body for up to thirty years before flaring up. Although less so than with hepatitis A and B, MSM who engage in unsafe sexual practices remain at increased risk for contracting hepatitis C.

Gonorrhea: An inflammatory disease of the genital tract. Gonorrhea traditionally occurs on the genitals, but has recently appeared in the rectal region and in the throat. Although easily treated by antibiotics, according to the cdc only "about 50 percent of men have some signs or symptoms, and "many women who are infected have no symptoms of infection." Untreated gonorrhea can have serious and permanent health consequences, including infertility damage to the prostate and urethra.

· A CDC report documents "significant increases during 1994 to 1997 in rectal gonorrhea . . . among MSM," indicating that "safe sex" practices may not be taken as seriously as the aids epidemic begins to slow. In 1999 the CDC released data showing that male rectal gonorrhea is increasing among homosexuals amidst an overall decline in national gonorrhea rates. The report attributed the increase to a larger percentage of homosexuals engaging in unsafe sexual behaviour.

· The incidence of throat Gonorrhea is strongly associated with homosexual behaviour. The Canadian Medical Association Journal found that "gonorrhea was associated with urethral discharge . . . and homosexuality (3.7 times higher than the rate among heterosexuals)." Similarly, a study in the Journal of Clinical Pathology found that homosexual men had a much higher prevalence of pharyngeal (throat) gonorrhea--15.2 percent compared with 4.1 percent for heterosexual men.

Syphilis: A venereal disease that, if left untreated, can spread throughout the body over time, causing serious heart abnormalities, mental disorders, blindness, and death. The initial symptoms of syphilis are often mild and painless, leading some individuals to avoid seeking treatment. According to the National Institutes of Health, the disease may be mistaken for other common illnesses: "syphilis has sometimes been called 'the great imitator' because its early symptoms are similar to those of many other diseases." Early symptoms include rashes, moist warts in the groin area, slimy white patches in the mouth, or pus-filled bumps resembling chicken pox.

· According to the CDC, "transmission of the organism occurs during vaginal, anal, or oral sex." In addition, the Archives of Internal Medicine found that homosexuals acquired syphilis at a rate ten times that of heterosexuals.

· The CDC reports that those who contract syphilis face potentially deadly health consequences: "It is now known that the genital sores caused by syphilis in adults also make it easier to transmit and acquire HIV infection sexually. There is a two to five fold increased risk of acquiring hiv infection when syphilis is present."

Gay Bowel Syndrome (GBS): The Journal of the American Medical Association refers to GBS problems such as proctitis, proctocolitis, and enteritis as "sexually transmitted gastrointestinal syndromes." Many of the bacterial and protozoa pathogens that cause gbs are found in feces and transmitted to the digestive system: According to the pro-homosexual text Anal Pleasure and Health, "sexual activities provide many opportunities for tiny amounts of contaminated feces to find their way into the mouth of a sexual partner . . . The most direct route is oral-anal contact."

· Proctitis and Proctocolitis are inflammations of the rectum and colon that cause pain, bloody rectal discharge and rectal spasms. Proctitis is associated with STDs such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, and syphilis that are widespread among homosexuals. The Sexually Transmitted Disease Information Centre of the Journal of the American Medical Association reports that "proctitis occurs predominantly among persons who participate in anal intercourse."

· Enteritis is inflammation of the small intestine. According to the Sexually Transmitted Disease Information Centre of the Journal of the American Medical Association, "enteritis occurs among those whose sexual practices include oral-fecal contact." Enteritis can cause abdominal pain, severe cramping, intense diarrhea, fever, malabsorption of nutrients, weight loss. According to a report in The Health Implications of Homosexuality by the Medical Institute for Sexual Health, some pathogens associated with enteritis and proctocolitis [see below] "appear only to be sexually transmitted among men who have sex with men."

HIV/AIDS Among Homosexuals.

The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is responsible for causing AIDS, for which there exists no cure.

· Homosexual men are the largest risk category. The CDC reports that homosexuals comprise the single largest exposure category of the more than 600,000 males with AIDS in the United States. As of December 1999, "men who have sex with men" and "men who have sex with men and inject drugs" together accounted for 64 percent of the cumulative total of male AIDS cases.

· Women risk contracting HIV/AIDS through sexual relations with infected MSM. According to the CDC, "HIV infection among U.S. women has increased significantly over the last decade, especially in communities of color. cdc estimates that, in the United States, between 120,000 and 160,000 adult and adolescent females are living with HIV infection, including those with AIDS." In 1999, for example, most of the women (40 percent) reported with AIDS were infected through heterosexual exposure to HIV. That number is actually higher, as "historically, more than two-thirds of AIDS cases among women initially reported without identified risk were later reclassified as heterosexual transmission."

· Homosexuals with HIV are at increased risk for developing other life-threatening diseases. A paper delivered at the Fourth International AIDS Malignancy Conference at the National Institutes of Health reported that homosexual men with HIV have "a 37-fold increase in anal cancer, a 4-fold increase in Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph nodes), a 2.7-fold increase in cancer of the testicles, and a 2.5 fold increase in lip cancer."
HIV/AIDS Among Young People

· AIDS incidence is on the rise among teens and young adults. The CDC reports that, "even though AIDS incidence (the number of new cases diagnosed during a given time period, usually a year) is declining, there has not been a comparable decline in the number of newly diagnosed HIV cases among youth.

· Young homosexual men are at particular risk. The CDC estimates that "at least half of all new HIV infections in the United States are among people under twenty-five, and the majority of young people are infected sexually." By the end of 1999, 29,629 young people aged thirteen to twenty-four were diagnosed with AIDS in the United States. MSM were the single largest risk category: in 1999, for example, 50 percent of all new AIDS cases were reported among young homosexuals.

· Sexually active young women are also at risk. The CDC reports: "In 1999, among young women the same age, 47 percent of all AIDS cases reported were acquired heterosexually and 11 percent were acquired through injection drug use."

Homosexuals with STDs Are at an Increased Risk for HIV Infection. Studies of MSM treated in STD clinics show rates of infection as high as 36 percent in major cities. A CDC study attributed the high infection rate to having high numbers of anonymous sex partners: "syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia apparently have been introduced into a population of MSM who have large numbers of anonymous partners, which can result in rapid and extensive transmission of STDs." The CDC report concluded: "Persons with STDs, including genital ulcer disease and nonulcerative STD, have a twofold to fivefold increased risk for HIV infection."

Anal Cancer:

Homosexuals are at increased risk for this rare type of cancer, which is potentially fatal if the anal-rectal tumors metastasize to other bodily organs.

· Dr. Joel Palefsky, a leading expert in the field of anal cancer, reports that while the incidence of anal cancer in the United States is only 0.9/100,000, that number soars to 35/100,000 for homosexuals. That rate doubles again for those who are HIV positive, which, according to Dr. Palefsky, is "roughly ten times higher than the current rate of cervical cancer."

· At the Fourth International AIDS Malignancy Conference at the National Institutes of Health in May, 2000, Dr. Andrew Grulich announced that the incidence of anal cancer among homosexuals with HIV "was raised 37-fold compared with the general population."

Lesbians are at Risk through Sex with MSM

· Many Lesbians also have had sex with men. The homosexual newspaper The Washington Blade, citing a 1998 study in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, reported that "the study's data confirmed previous scientific observations that most women who have sex with women also have had sex with men." The study added that "sex with men in the prior year was common, as were sexual practices between female partners that possibly could transmit HPV."

· Lesbians have more male sex partners that their heterosexual counterparts. A study of sexually transmitted disease among lesbians reviewed in The Washington Blade notes: "Behavioural research also demonstrates that a woman's sexual identity is not an accurate predictor of behaviour, with a large proportion of 'lesbian' women reporting sex with (often high risk) men." The study found that "the median number of lifetime male sexual partners was significantly greater for WSW (women who have sex with women) than controls (twelve partners versus six). WSW were significantly more likely to report more than fifty lifetime male sexual partners."

· A study in the American Journal of Public Health concurs that bisexual women are at increased risk for contracting sexually transmitted diseases: "Our findings corroborate the finding that wsmw (women who have sex with men and women) are more likely than WSMO (women who have sex with men only) to engage in various high-risk behaviours" and also "to engage in a greater number of risk-related behaviours." The study suggested that the willingness to engage in risky sexual practices "could be tied to a pattern of sensation-seeking behaviour."

· MSM spread HIV to women. A five-year study by the CDC of 3,492 homosexuals aged fifteen to twenty-two found that one in six also had sex with women. Of those having sex with women, one-quarter "said they recently had unprotected sex with both men and women." Nearly 7 percent of the men in the study were HIV positive." "The study confirms that young bisexual men are a 'bridge' for HIV transmission to women," said the CDC.

"Exclusive" Lesbian Relationships Also at Risk.

The assumption that lesbians involved in exclusive sexual relationships are at reduced risk for sexual disease is false.

The journal Sexually Transmitted Infections concludes: "The risk behaviour profile of exclusive WSW was similar to all WSW." One reason for this is because lesbians "were significantly more likely to report past sexual contact with a homosexual or bisexual man and sexual contact with an IDU (intravenous drug user)."

Cancer Risk Factors for Lesbians. Citing a 1999 report released by the Institute of Medicine, an arm of the National Academy of Sciences, the homosexual newspaper The Washington Blade notes that "various studies on Lesbian health suggest that certain cancer risk factors occur with greater frequency in this population. These factors include higher rates of smoking, alcohol use, poor diet, and being overweight. “Elsewhere the Blade also reports: "Some experts believe Lesbians might be more likely than women in general to develop breast or cervical cancer because a disproportionate number of them fall into high-risk categories."

Sexually Transmitted Diseases Among Lesbians

· In a study of the medical records of 1,408 lesbians, the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections found that women who have sexual relations with women are at significantly higher risk for certain sexually transmitted diseases: "We demonstrated a higher prevalence of bv (bacterial vaginosis), hepatitis C, and HIV risk behaviours in WSW as compared with controls."

Compulsive Behaviour among Lesbians. A study published in Nursing Research found that lesbians are three times more likely to abuse alcohol and to suffer from other compulsive behaviours: "Like most problem drinkers, 32 (91 percent) of the participants had abused other drugs as well as alcohol, and many reported compulsive difficulties with food (34 percent), codependency (29 percent), sex (11 percent), and money (6 percent)." In addition, "Forty-six percent had been heavy drinkers with frequent drunkenness."

Alcohol Abuse Among Homosexuals and Lesbians

· The Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychologists reports that lesbian women consume alcohol more frequently, and in larger amounts, than heterosexual women. Lesbians were at significantly greater risk than heterosexual women for both binge drinking (19.4 percent compared to 11.7 percent), and for heavy drinking (7 percent compared to 2.7 percent).

· Although the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychologists article found no significant connection between male homosexuals and alcohol abuse, a study in Family Planning Perspective concluded that male homosexuals were at greatly increased risk for alcoholism: "Among men, by far the most important risk group consisted of homosexual and bisexual men, who were more than nine times as likely as heterosexual men to have a history of problem drinking." The study noted that problem drinking may contribute to the "significantly higher STD rates among gay and bisexual men."

Violence in Lesbian and Homosexual Relationships.

· A study in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence examined conflict and violence in lesbian relationships. The researchers found that 90 percent of the lesbians surveyed had been recipients of one or more acts of verbal aggression from their intimate partners during the year prior to this study, with 31 percent reporting one or more incidents of physical abuse.

· In a survey of 1,099 lesbians, the Journal of Social Service Research found that "slightly more than half of the [lesbians] reported that they had been abused by a female lover/partner. The most frequently indicated forms of abuse were verbal/emotional/psychological abuse and combined physical-psychological abuse."

· In their book Men Who Beat the Men Who Love Them: Battered Gay Men and Domestic Violence, D. Island and P. Letellier report that "the incidence of domestic violence among gay men is nearly double that in the heterosexual population."

Compare the Low Rate of Intimate Partner Violence within Marriage. Homosexual and lesbian relationships are far more violent than are traditional married households:

· The Bureau of Justice Statistics (U.S. Department of Justice) reports that married women in traditional families experience the lowest rate of violence compared with women in other types of relationships.

· A report by the Medical Institute for Sexual Health concurred, It should be noted that most studies of family violence do not differentiate between married and unmarried partner status. Studies that do make these distinctions have found that marriage relationships tend to have the least intimate partner violence when compared to cohabiting or dating relationships.

It would stand to reason, that given a disproportionately higher occurrance of abuse in the relationships, that any CHILDREN that were adopted by or othwise "artificially manufactured" by a Homosexual couple would be at a much greater risk for abuse themselves.

High Incidence of Mental Health Problems among Homosexuals and Lesbians.

A national survey of lesbians published in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology found that 75 percent of the nearly 2,000 respondents had pursued psychological counselling of some kind, many for treatment of long-term depression or sadness:

Among the sample as a whole, there was a distressingly high prevalence of life events and behaviours related to mental health problems. Thirty-seven percent had been physically abused and 32 percent had been raped or sexually attacked. Nineteen percent had been involved in incestuous relationships while growing up. Almost one-third used tobacco on a daily basis and about 30 percent drank alcohol more than once a week; 6 percent drank daily. One in five smoked marijuana more than once a month. Twenty-one percent of the sample had thoughts about suicide sometimes or often and 18 percent had actually tried to kill themselves. . . . More than half had felt too nervous to accomplish ordinary activities at some time during the past year and over one-third had been depressed.

Greater Risk for Suicide.

· A study of twins that examined the relationship between homosexuality and suicide, published in the Archives of General Psychiatry, found that homosexuals with same-sex partners were at greater risk for overall mental health problems, and were 6.5 times more likely than their twins to have attempted suicide. The higher rate was not attributable to mental health or substance abuse disorders.

· Another study published simultaneously in Archives of General Psychiatry followed 1,007 individuals from birth. Those classified as "gay," lesbian, or bisexual were significantly more likely to have had mental health problems. Significantly, in his comments on the studies in the same issue of the journal, D. Bailey cautioned against various speculative explanations of the results, such as the view that "widespread prejudice against homosexual people causes them to be unhappy or worse, mentally ill."

Reduced Life Span.

A study published in the International Journal of Epidemiology on the mortality rates of homosexuals concluded that they have a significantly reduced life expectancy:

In a major Canadian centre, life expectancy at age twenty for gay and bisexual men is eight to twenty years less than for all men. If the same pattern of mortality were to continue, we estimate that nearly half of gay and bisexual men currently aged twenty years will not reach their sixty-fifth birthday. Under even the most liberal assumptions, gay and bisexual men in this urban centre are now experiencing a life expectancy similar to that experienced by all men in Canada in the year 1871.

In 1995, long after the deadly effects of AIDS and other stds became widely known, homosexual author Urvashi Vaid expressed one of the goals of her fellow activists: "We have an agenda to create a society in which homosexuality is regarded as healthy, natural, and normal. To me that is the most important agenda item." Debilitating illness, chronic disease, psychological problems, and early death suffered by homosexuals is the legacy of this tragically misguided activism, which puts the furthering of an "agenda" above saving the lives of those whose interests they purport to represent.

Those who advocate full acceptance of homosexual behaviour choose to downplay the growing and incontrovertible evidence regarding the serious, life-threatening health effects associated with the homosexual lifestyle. Homosexual advocacy groups have a moral duty to disseminate medical information that might dissuade individuals from entering or continuing in an inherently unhealthy and dangerous lifestyle. Education officials in particular have a duty to provide information regarding the negative health effects of homosexuality to students in their charge, whose very lives are put at risk by engaging in such behaviour. Above all, civil society itself has an obligation to institute policies that promote the health and well-being of its citizens.

Condoms

Editor of Rubber Chemistry and Technology, Dr. C. Michael Roland of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington D.C., spoke about his research on "intrinsic flaws" in latex rubber condoms and surgical gloves (published in Rubber World, June, 1993).

Roland said that what I am about to relate is "common knowledge among good scientists who have no political agenda."

Electron microscopy reveals the HIV virus to be about O.1 microns in size (a micron is a millionth of a metre). It is 60 times smaller than a syphilis bacterium, and 450 times smaller than a single human sperm.

The standard U.S. government leakage test (ASTM) will detect water leakage through holes only as small as 10 to 12 microns (most condoms sold in Canada are made in the U.S.A., but I'll mention the Canadian test below). Roland says in good tests based on these standards, 33% of all condoms tested allowed HIV-sized particles through, and that "spermicidal agents such as nonoxonol-9 may actually ease the passage."

Roland's paper shows electron microscopy photos of natural latex. You can see the natural holes, or intrinsic flaws. The "inherent defects in natural rubber range between 5 and 70 microns."

And it's not as if governments don't know. A study by Dr. R.F. Carey of the U.S. Centres for Disease Control reports that "leakage of HIV-sized particles through latex condoms was detectable for as many as 29 of 89 condoms tested." These were brand new, pre-approved condoms. But Roland says a closer reading of Carey's data actually yields a 78% HIV-leakage rate, and concludes: "That the CDC would promote condoms based on [this] study...suggests its agenda is concerned with something other than public health and welfare." The federal government's standard tests, he adds, "cannot detect flaws even 70 times larger than the AIDS virus." Such tests are "blind to leakage volumes less than one microliter - yet this quantity of fluid from an AIDS-infected individual has been found to contain as many as 100,000 HIV particles."

As one U.S. surgeon memorably put it, "The HIV virus can go through a condom like a bullet through a tennis net."

It's the same story with latex gloves. Gloves from four different manufacturers revealed "pits as large as 15 microns wide and 30 microns deep." More relevant to HIV transmission, "5 micron-wide channels, penetrating the entire thickness were found in all the gloves." He said the presence of such defects in latex "is well established."

For Canada, the story is the same. A standard Health and Welfare Canada test of condoms manufactured between 1987 and 1990, based on stringent. tests of pressure, leakage, and volume (as in the U.S., there is no effort to examine micron-level leakage), reported that an astonishing 40% of the condoms tested failed at least one of the tests. Tests in 1991 showed an "improved" 28% rate.

AIDS is Transmissible via All Body Fluids

Listening to the establishment media one could easily get the impression that about the only ways that one can get infected with the AIDS virus are to share IV needles with, or have unprotected sex with someone who is already infected. Those who believe that lie are at risk of becoming tomorrow's AIDS statistics.

First, there is no such thing as "safe sex" with a person who is HIV-positive. The condoms available in your local pharmacy or handed to twelve-year-olds at public schools offer little protection from the virus. Dr. C. M. Roland, Editor of Rubber Chemistry and Technology for the Naval Research Laboratory, states: "The 12 per cent failure rate of condoms in the prevention of pregnancy alone argues against their use for AIDS prevention. However, because the AIDS virus is orders of magnitude smaller than sperm, the situation is actually worse." Dr. Roland goes on to point out that the AIDS virus is 0.1 micron in size, while typical holes in condoms, invisible to the naked eye, are 50 to 500 times larger, easily allowing passage of the virus. And according to Surgical Practice News of August, 1988, even surgical gloves, which are manufactured to a higher standard than condoms, may have holes nearly ten microns in diameter, or 100 times larger than the virus.

Thousands have died because they, or doctors they trusted, believed the government's and the media's lies about AIDS. A startling example of this is the criminal negligence regarding AIDS-tainted blood in the blood banks.

In 1983, we were told that the blood supply was safe. We were told that there were no documented cases of transmission via blood transfusion. When some individuals at the FDA and the Centres for Disease Control suggested that blood bankers could eliminate 80% of the AIDS-infected blood by testing all donated blood for Hepatitis-B, with which 80% of homosexual males are infected due to their filthy practices, and rejecting all the blood that tested positive, the higher-ups at both agencies declined to make that a requirement. Tens of thousands were sentenced to death by that decision. Why? Because homosexuals don't want to be tested, they don't want to be identified, and they don't want their twisted sexual appetites restricted in even the slightest way.

Homosexuals and powerful forces friendly to the homosexualization of America have successfully blocked this and many other common-sense proposals to protect the rest of us from AIDS.

Later we were told that the chances of infection from blood transfusions were about one in 1 million. A few years down the road, the official story was that the chances were less than one in 100,000.

Finally, in May 1985, a test became available that tested for the antibodies that the body produces in response to HIV infection. Just prior to that, the official story had changed again. Now supposedly the chances for HIV infection from a transfusion were one in 50,000 or less. When the blood supplies finally were able to be tested, albeit indirectly, for AIDS, the shocking truth became known.

An investigation into the voluntary donor blood bank in San Francisco revealed that the risk there prior to 1985 was not one in a million. It was not even one in 50,000. It was one in one hundred.

The same people who lied to you for years about the safety of the blood supply now tell you that the supply really is safe. Well, after the body count had become astronomical, public health officials were forced to adopt testing for the antibodies to HIV, and all blood which tests positive is supposed to be thrown out. So the blood supply certainly is safer than it was a few years ago. But there is a period of time after a person becomes infected with the AIDS virus, before his immune system responds by producing antibodies. This period of time is six weeks to six months in most people, but in some cases it can be as long as three years before antibodies are produced. During this time interval, the individual will be carrying the virus in his blood, but will test HIV-negative. This period of time is called the "negative window.

If an HIV-infected person donates blood during this six-week to three-year "negative window," his blood will not be screened out by the test presently in use. Anyone receiving a blood transfusion from blood bank inventory blood is therefore still at risk. Using your own blood, or that of a designated donor known to be HIV-free, is far safer. And you should also know that factions of radical homosexuals have publicly threatened to purposely donate infected blood if certain of their demands are not met. The "negative window" effect means that these threats should be taken seriously.

You should also reflect seriously on the fact that, despite the availability of an HIV antibody test (and even its mandatory use in some situations such as blood bank donations), contact tracing of an infected individual's sex partners is not being done in most instances. Infected individuals, even if they work as dentists or doctors or in other occupations where they could easily pass on the virus to others, are not required to notify anyone of their HIV-positive status. The AIDS virus is the only virus that has "civil rights." Innocents must die, so that the sick sex games of the pervert minority can continue.

The normal public health measures that always have been applied to other infectious diseases are not being applied to AIDS. The imposition of universal testing and quarantine where appropriate would end the anal fun, you see, and we can't -- we simply can't have that. They -- the infected -- have all the rights. And we -- the uninfected -- have none. A complete inversion of what the public health system is supposed to be all about!

We are repeatedly told by the controlled media that the AIDS virus is fragile, and that it does not survive well outside the body. But that simply isn't true. The prestigious British medical journal, Lancet, for September 28, 1985, states that the virus can survive in dried body fluids for as long as seven days. It survives twice as long in a moist environment. The HIV virus easily survives freezing. It survives being placed under running alcohol for twenty minutes. It can pass through intact mucous membranes. It can pass through intact skin. It is present not only in blood, but in urine, feces, sweat, vaginal secretions, semen, tears, mother's milk, and saliva. It has been transmitted by kissing. It has been transmitted through contact sports. In short, wherever and whenever body fluids can be exchanged between individuals, the HIV virus can also be transmitted.

The government "experts" will tell you again and again that their studies "have not shown" transmission by these means. In many cases that merely means that studies have not been done. In some cases, studies have been stopped, apparently because they might have come to an "unapproved" conclusion if they were allowed to continue. Dr. Gus Sermos of the Centres for Disease Control was studying the possibility of mosquito transmission of the AIDS virus in semi-tropical Belle Glade, Florida, where an unusually high incidence of AIDS among low-risk individuals coincided with a large mosquito population. That study was stopped in its tracks, and there have been many other similar instances. The CDC stopped studying household transmission of AIDS after most such studies had been carried out for one year or less. They did this with full knowledge of the fact that it often takes six months and sometimes takes three years for an individual to develop antibodies to the virus. Now they point to these studies to claim that household transmission is insignificant.

Conclusion

We are all familiar with men who are unnaturally effeminate and women who are unnaturally masculine. Such creatures may well be the result of genetic defects in much the same way that certain kinds of physical deformities are caused by inherited or mutated errors in the genetic code of these unlucky individuals. In the case of some homosexuals it may well be that certain genetic defects affect the areas of the body and/or brain that determine sexual development and behaviour. Certain, further research is needed in this area so that we can spare future generations from the personal and social burden that such defects inevitably bring.

But surely, no one except a lunatic would claim that just because genetically caused mental retardation exists, for example, that it is somehow normal and good and that we must never declare that persons of normal and above-normal intelligence are superior thinkers in comparison. And certainly no one would claim that gross physical abnormalities and birth defects are good and that trying to cure or prevent them constitutes discrimination and oppression.

If some persons are truly predisposed toward homosexuality by their genetic inheritance that does not argue for the acceptance of this perversion as normal and acceptable anymore than the genetic predisposition of individuals and groups toward violent crime makes murder and rape normal or acceptable.

It should be obvious to everyone with the intelligence to observe the natural world, whatever his political or religious affiliations, that the sexual instincts and the sexual organs of human beings were developed and intended for the reproduction and perpetuation of the race. Our sexual feelings are part of our most ancient and sacred inheritance and the bond, which we call love and devotion, that develops between a man and a woman is not just a sensation for our personal enjoyment, but is rather an absolute necessity for the stability of the family unit and the successful rearing of our children.

So, what are all the reasons why we should accept homosexuals in our community again?

The Jewish Daily Forward recently published its Forward 50, a list of 50 Jewish leaders who have made an impact on American Jewish life in the past year. Four of this year’s leaders are either members of the LGBT community or allies who have worked to promote honest and realistic representations of LGBT people and advocated for equality. Although the list’s authors acknowledge that women lack representation on the Forward 50 list, two of the four LGBT advocates are women in strong leadership positions.

Sharon Kleinbaum has been a rabbi at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah (CBST), New York’s LGBT synagogue, for nearly 20 years. In that time, she’s been acknowledged as one of the most influential rabbis and religious leaders in the United States for her work on behalf of LGBT equality. Most recently, Rabbi Kleinbaum was a vocal supporter of marriage equality in New York State. After the legislation passed, CBST hosted a discussion with experts on the legal, financial, and social implications of marriage equality in New York. This year also saw another important move for CBST: the purchase of their own building, a permanent location for the congregation, at the intersection of the historically Jewish Garment District and traditionally LGBT-friendly Chelsea.

Tony Kushner is best known for his masterpiece, Angels in America, which won the Pulitzer Prize in 1993 for its portrayal of the early years of the AIDS crisis. Angels in America has been made into a movie and an opera and was restaged this year for the Signature Theater Company’s retrospective season. His most recent new play, “The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism With a Key to the Scriptures,” was performed at the Public Theater. It was Kushner’s first significant new play in nearly a decade.

Michael Tilson Thomas is the grandson of Yiddish theater performers Boris and Bessie Thomashefsky and a talented conductor and musician in his own right, having won awards for compositions including “From the Diary of Anne Frank.” This year, Thomas honored his grandparents’ memory with a traveling multimedia performance called “The Thomashefskys: Music and Memories of a Life in the Yiddish Theater.”

Florida congresswoman and chair of the Democratic National Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has shown herself to be a strong LGBT ally. As a congresswoman, Wasserman Schultz supports prohibiting job discrimination based on sexual orientation and is opposed to legislation defining marriage as between one man and one woman. She also voted in favor of repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and has received a 100% rating from HRC. Wasserman Schultz also spent much of the past year refuting claims that Jewish voters are less strongly affiliated with the Democratic Party than in the past, a claim that does not align with actual voting statistics.

The Jewish Women's Archive, an organization dedicated to recognizing the contributions of Jewish women to the world, has suggested an additional nine women who could have been included in thisyear's Forward 50. Among them is Idit Klein, the executive director of Keshet, a Jewish LGBT organization with offices in Boston, Denver, and San Francisco. Keshet and GLAAD collaborated in our efforts to provide programming ideas for Spirit Day this past October 20. Nationwide, Keshet supports safe schools programs through film screenings and facilitated workshops, supports LGBT inclusion in Jewish communities, and provides support to emerging Jewish LGBT groups at the state and local levels.

GLAAD congratulates Rabbi Kleinbaum, Tony Kushner, Michael Tilson Thomas, and Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz on their recognition as important figures in the Jewish community and for their contributions both to the LGBT and Jewish communities and thanks the Jewish Women's Archive for their additional suggestion of Idit Klein, whose work through Keshet is making Jewish communities more welcoming of LGBT Jews.

Jewish leaders praised President Barack Obama’s statement that he personally supports gay marriage.

“I am pleased that the President has made a decisive statement in support of marriage equality,” said National Jewish Democratic Council chair Marc R. Stanley in an emailed statement. “President Obama has admirably continued to demonstrate the values of tikkun olam in his work to make America a better place for all Americans.”

For some Jews, the reaction to Obama’s statement was deeply personal.

“Tonight for the first time I’m going to be able to go home to my six month old son and tell him that the president of the United states, Our president, thinks that we’re a family,” said Alan van Capelle, chief executive officer of Bend the Arc. Van Capelle, who is gay, the former executive director of the Empire State Pride Agenda.

The president told ABC News that he supports gay marriage in a May 9 interview.

“Malia and Sasha, they have friends whose parents are same-sex couples,” the president told ABC, referring to his teenage daughters. “[I]t wouldn’t dawn on them that somehow their friends’ parents would be treated differently. It doesn’t make sense to them and frankly, that’s the kind of thing that prompts a change in perspective.”

The interview signals a reversal in the president’s public position on gay marriage, though he told ABC news that he continues to believe that the issue should be handled by individual states.

The statement comes after a week of signs that the Obama administration’s position on gay marriage was in flux. Vice President Joe Biden and Education Secretary Arne Duncan each professed support for gay marriage in recent days.

A poll released in April by the Public Religion Research Institute. found that 81% of Jews support gay marriage.

Some Jewish politicians were quick to applaud the president’s announcement.

“This is a major turning point in the history of American civil rights,” New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a statement released moments after the content of the ABC interview was made public. “ The march of freedom that has sustained our country since the Revolution of 1776 continues, and no matter what setbacks may occur in a given state, freedom will triumph over fear and equality will prevail over exclusion.”

Rep. Jerry Nadler, a congressman representing a heavily Jewish district in New York City that includes the Upper West Side, also cheered the announcement. “For the first time in this nation’s history, a sitting president has shown the courage and leadership to stand up for all American families by pledging to support the fundamental right of every person to marry the person they love, and to have that marriage fully respected,” Nadler said in a statement.

Others were more cautiously optimistic. Idit Klein, executive director of the Jewish gay rights group Keshet, noted that various state level efforts against gay marriage have had success in recent days, including a ballot initiative that passed on May 8 in North Carolina.

“This is an incredibly tempestuous and despairing time, and a powerfully positive and uplifting time for all of us that care about LGBT equality,” Klein told the Forward.

The leading ultra-Orthodox umbrella group, meanwhile, reasserted its opposition to gay marriage.

“The Torah forbids homosexual acts, and sanctions only the union of a man and a woman in matrimony,” wrote Agudath Israel spokesman Avi Shafran in an email to the Forward. “The Orthodox Jewish constituency represented by Agudath Israel of America, as well as countless other Jews who respect the Jewish religious tradition remain staunch in their opposition to redefining marriage.”

The American Jewish community is generally more progressive than other religious groups when it comes to gay issues.

All movements except Orthodoxy (which represents about 10% of American Jews) now ordain gay and lesbian rabbis, and perform same-sex weddings. There are gay synagogues, national LGBT Jewish organizations and a bevy of local groups ranging from TransTorah (learning opportunities for transgender Jews) to He’Bro (dance parties for gay Jewish men).

The trouble is that we do not speak with a unified voice.

Indeed, one of the strengths–and weaknesses–of contemporary Judaism is its decentralized nature. On the one hand, this means that divergence of opinion and practice is much easier to accommodate than in organizations like the Catholic Church. On the other hand, well, you know the joke: two Jews, three opinions.

Because of its decentralized nature, the Jewish community’s progressivism rarely translates into effective political muscle, or intra-communal organizing. Nor is there a unified agenda for what “inclusion” really means. Should limited resources be focused on creating safe schools, and safe summer camps for kids? (Anti-gay epithets are still very common among American Jewish teens.)

Or should a focus be placed on Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox communities, where children are still being disowned by their parents or sent to abusive and ineffective “reparative therapy” programs?

To address these questions, over 100 LGBT Jewish leaders are gathering in Berkeley, California, to build a stronger and more unified LGBT Jewish movement. Coming together for this historic LGBT Jewish Movement Building Retreat are activists representing 40 different LGBT Jewish organizations from throughout the United States.

Together with leaders from an additional 22 national and regional Jewish and LGBT organizations, foundation professionals and several international observers, those gathering in Berkeley want to define and energize the movement for LGBT inclusion in the Jewish world.

This convening builds on a long and proud history of LGBT Jewish organizing, which began nearly 40 years ago with the founding of gay and lesbian synagogues as safe havens for gay Jews. Synagogues (and their umbrella organization, the World Congress of GLBT Jews) have been and remain vital “safe spaces” for LGBT Jews, even as national organizations have grown and activists have worked for full inclusion and equality within “mainstream” institutions.

So, what are we, as two of the organizers of the convening, hoping comes out of the three days' worth of meetings in Berkeley?

First, connection, conversation and community. This is a historic gathering – many of us have never met face to face, and we come from very different religious and cultural backgrounds. Just being in the same place at the same time is a key first step.

From that connection, we hope that participants will gain a renewed sense of themselves as part of a movement, rather than freelance activists or clergy members with responsibility only toward their synagogues’ membership. We are going to roll out practical proposals, from a unified online calendar and blogging software to ongoing working groups, to enable better coordination and communication.

We’re aiming for nothing less than a “consciousness shift” among LGBT Jewish leadership in the United States.

And finally, from that sense of ourselves as a movement, we hope to emerge with a unified agenda for change – or at least steps in that direction. There has been generous philanthropic support of LGBT Jewish activism. On Monday, a Funders’ Roundtable brought together the leading funders of this work for the first time – and we have achieved many of our goals. There’s a real sense that now is our moment to come together and set our priorities for the next decade.

There is, indeed, so much work still to be done. Just 10 months ago, an unknown gunman killed two people and injured many more at a Tel Aviv drop-in center for LGBT youth.

Gay people are still vilified and demonized by rabbis and communal leaders around the world – including the American Orthodox Union, which has recently put out a series of anti-gay statements. And as you read these words, somewhere, an ultra-Orthodox Jewish teenager, without access to the Internet or contemporary media, is wondering if he is the only gay Jew in the world, and if God hates him because he is gay.

This is why we're gathering in Berkeley.

Want to Supercharge Our LGBT Inclusion? Call the NAACP

I have seen firsthand the power of collaborating with racial and ethnic civil rights leaders, but even I was surprised by how a small conversation with the head of the NAACP mushroomed into a milestone for LGBT health.

It was early June when we talked. I was running around the Netroots Nation conference, obsessively checking my Twitter feed like everyone else to find out what was hot. I did a fast about-face when blogger Pam Spaulding reported that the head of the NAACP, Ben Jealous, was hanging out in the exhibitor hall. I wanted to have a picture taken with him.

Why? North Carolina, of course. Yes, we lost the battle for marriage equality, but did you see the video from the head of their state NAACP chapter urging members to take a stand against legislation that curbs civil rights? Did you hear how many African-American faith leaders of all stripes stood up to support us? That was hot stuff.

North Carolina wasn't the only reason. In 1993 I was impressed when Rev. Jesse Jackson headlined a gala I organized. In 1998 I cheered when Coretta Scott King urged LGBT and civil rights groups to work together. In 2006 I cheered again as NAACP Chairman Julian Bond gave a rousing speech at the LGBT march. There are many reasons I wanted a picture with the head of the NAACP.

I ran down to the exhibit hall and spotted Mr. Jealous. He was more than happy to pose for a picture. I also asked if I could talk to him later about a big issue on the LGBT health front: namely the decision about whether the legal HHS definition of "health disparity populations" would be expanded to include us. Forget later: He wanted the details right then and just as quickly offered a letter of support from the NAACP. Yes!

Why do we want to be included in the legal definition of health disparity populations? Because it is funding announcements that really guide where we invest our health resources. For too long applicants have had to guess if funding announcements were open to projects with LGBT focus. Top-level HHS policy documents might prioritize LGBT health disparity efforts, but the peer reviewers making the real funding decisions may not have read them.

The Network for LGBT Health Equity at The Fenway Institute has already put out several briefing sheets urging funders to explicitly name LGBT in funding announcements. We liken it to cultural competency for funders; as long as we are still invisible, how do we presume to think we are now welcome?

Right now the legal definition of health disparity populations includes racial and ethnic minorities; rural communities; people with low socioeconomic status; and medically underserved populations. These are the groups explicitly named in funding announcements. If the definition were expanded, LGBT people would be listed alongside them. It's like putting a small rainbow flag up in a doctor's office: minor change but high impact.

I was unprepared for the events that would cascade from my short chat with Mr. Jealous. He recommended that we also contact the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights (LCCHR). Kellan Baker from the Center for American Progress offered to contact them, because their organizations have been collaborating for years. Kellan did a yeoman's job from here on, building the joint letter of support and managing the collaboration.

As a result I'm proud to report that the LCCHR just delivered a letter to HHS leadership urging LGBT inclusion in the legal definition of health disparity populations.

Why is this letter a big deal? Because we hopscotched from the NAACP to the LCCHR to their base of supporters. I read the list of groups who signed the letter with wonder: American Association of Retired Persons, American Civil Liberties Union, National Council of La Raza, National Council of Jewish Women, Asian American Justice Center, National Organization of Women, the Fair Housing Alliance... and of course the NAACP. In all, 33 national organizations signed on to support us.

Even better, they didn't just ask for inclusion in the definition. Those major national groups also stated their support for Institute of Medicine recommendations, namely increasing LGBT health career development resources, urging mainstream researchers to address LGBT issues, and improving data collection.

Thirty-three of the largest civil rights groups in the country are urging HHS to increase support for a range of our health issues. That is a milestone for LGBT health. That is also the power of one small conversation with the head of the NAACP.

This makes me wonder what else we can do together. Mostly it makes me hope we all don't just talk about but actively demonstrate how much we value this solidarity.

In an effort to ensure nondiscrimination and increase the number of individuals who have access to quality healthcare services, OCR investigates entities that receive funding from HHS to ensure they comply with applicable Federal civil rights laws. One of those laws, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, protects people of every race, color and national origin from unlawful discrimination. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability. The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 prohibits discrimination on the basis of age. Through the effective enforcement of these Federal civil rights laws, OCR seeks to decrease healthcare disparities and ensure access to quality healthcare services.

And one in five show signs of dependency on drugs or alcohol.
The report, conducted by the Lesbian and Gay Foundation (LGF) and the University of Central Lancashire, sampled more than 4,000 people over two years.




More than a third of gay, lesbian and bisexual people took at least one illegal drug in the last month, according to the study - the largest of its kind to date.

This compares to 5 per cent of the wider population who admitted using a drug in the last month in the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW).
According to the researchers the most widely used substances among those surveyed were party drugs such as cannabis and 'poppers' - a liquid nitrite sold in a small bottle and inhaled.




These were followed by powder cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine and amphetamines.

The study, reported in the Independent on Sunday, found they were 10 times more likely to have used cocaine in the last month than the wider population, and 13 times more likely to have used ketamine.

The use of heroin use was similar among both populations.




However crack cocaine use was again higher among the gay community.
David Stuart, education, training and outreach manager at London Friend, the UK's only targeted LGBT drug and alcohol service, told the paper feelings of "rejection" and "fear" as well as "shame around sex" could contribute to drug use.

Kitty Richardson, 25, who runs the Most Cake, a blog for lesbians in London, said the scene had a lot to answer for.

She added: 'People are very quick to label gay people as troubled, or inherently needing those crutches, but all our methods of socialising revolve around drink or drugs."



She added that this can lead to dependency.

The research was carried out at Pride events, which celebrate gay, lesbian and bisexual culture, and through online and postal surveys.

The research also found that whereas drug use in the general population declined with age - almost as many lesbian, gay and bisexual 36- to 40-year-olds were taking drugs as their younger counterparts

California bans "gay cure" therapy

SACRAMENTO, Calif. Gov. Jerry Brown has signed legislation that makes California the first state to ban a controversial form of psychotherapy that's aimed at making gay teenagers straight.

Effective Jan. 1, mental health practitioners are prohibited from performing sexual orientation change efforts — known as reparative or conversion therapy — for anyone under 18.

The therapies "have no basis in science or medicine and they will now be relegated to the dustbin of quackery," Brown said in a statement.

Mainstream associations representing psychiatrists and psychologists have dismissed reparative therapy in recent decades. A number of mental health associations in California — including the state's Board of Behavorial Sciences, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the California Psychological Association — supported the legislation.

But some organizations and ministries continue to use counseling and prayer to try to help conflicted Christians rid themselves of unwanted homosexual inclinations. Gay rights activists have said the damage they inflict on individuals can be deep and lasting and can put youth at higher risk of depression and suicide.

"We're grateful to Gov. Brown for standing with California's children," the Human Rights Campaign said in a statement. "LGBT youth will now be protected from a practice that has not only been debunked as junk science, but has been proven to have drastically negative effects on their well-being."

The group called on other states to follow California's lead on the issue.

Conservative religious groups and some Republicans have argued that banning conversion therapy would hinder parents' right to provide psychological care for children experiencing gender confusion.

The Encino, Calif.-based National Association for Research and Therapy on Homosexuality said in August that the bill was a case of "legislative overreach." They said Democratic state Senator Ted Lieu's claims of harm to children were based on politics, not research.

Brown signed the bill Saturday amid a busy weekend that saw him act on more than 100 pieces of legislation, including a bill he signed late Sunday that would allow some illegal immigrants to get California drivers licenses.

The bill lets the Department of Motor Vehicles issue licenses to illegal immigrants eligible for work permits under a new Obama administration policy. It requires the department to accept as proof of legal residence whatever document the federal government provides to participants in its deferred action program.

The governor also signed into law a bill that will allow parents who don't have their children vaccinated to enroll their children in school. Parents would have to obtain a waiver from a physician or a nurse practitioner saying they received information about the benefits and risks of immunization.

Brown vetoed a bill that could have protected illegal immigrants from deportation if they committed minor infractions. The bill was dubbed "anti-Arizona" legislation, a reference to that state's immigrant identification law.

He also vetoed legislation that would have provided overtime pay, meal breaks and other labor protections to an estimated 200,000 caregivers, nannies and house cleaners. The Democratic governor said they deserve fair pay and safe working conditions but said the bill "raises a number of unanswered questions."

A college student who claims he once had same-sex attractions but became heterosexual after conversion therapy has filed a lawsuit against California, which has enacted a law that bans so-called "gay cures" for minors.

The lawsuit, also joined as plaintiffs by two therapists who have used the treatments with patients, alleges that the law banning the therapy intrudes on First Amendment protections of free speech, privacy and freedom of religion.

The student, Aaron Blitzer, who is studying to be a therapist in that field, said the law would prevent him from pursuing his career, according to court papers filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

The lawsuit names as defendants California Gov. Jerry Brown, as well as 21other state officials, including members of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the California Medical Board.

The other plaintiffs are Donald Welsch, a licensed family therapist and ordained minister who operates a Christian counseling center in San Diego; and Dr. Anthony Duk, a psychiatrist and practicing Roman Catholic.

Both say the law would restrict their counseling practices, according to the lawsuit.

"It's it's an egregious violation of the rights of young people feeling same-sex attraction, and of parents and counselors who feel it would be beneficial for the individual needs of a young person," said Brad Dacus, president and attorney for the conservative Pacific Justice Institute, which asked a federal judge to prevent the law from taking effect.

"The legislature had an errant assumption that every individual struggling with same-sex attraction is caused by their DNA," he said. "It ignores thousands, including the plaintiff, who have gone through therapy and are now in a happy and healthy heterosexual relationship."

Dacus declined ABC News' request for direct access to the plaintiffs.

Just this week, California lawmakers voted to outlaw therapy aimed at changing the sexual orientation of minors who say they are gay, making California the first state to adopt such legislation. The law is set to go into effect Jan. 1, 2013.

The bill's sponsor, California state Sen. Ted Lieu, said the therapy -- called "conversion therapy," "sexual orientation therapy," "reparative therapy" or "sexual orientation change efforts" -- amounts to "psychological child abuse."

"I read the lawsuit and, as a matter of fiction, it is a good read," Lieu said in a prepared statement after the suit was filed. "But from any reasonable legal standard, the lawsuit is frivolous. Under the plaintiffs' argument, the First Amendment would shield therapists and psychiatrists from medical malpractice and psychological abuse claims simply because they use speech in practicing their medicine. That is a novel and frivolous view of the First Amendment."

Lieu is not named as a defendant in the lawsuit.

Several members of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the California Mental Board were named in the lawsuit.

"Our board voted to support that piece of legislation after working with the author's office to further define sexual orientation change efforts," said Kim Madsen, executive officer for the sciences board, which licenses and oversees therapists.

She had no comment on the lawsuit, but said the board would investigate any complaints of conversion therapy after Jan. 1.

The law's critics say that it infringes on the rights of families and therapists, particularly young people who have same-sex attractions as a result of being victims of sexual abuse.

Dacus said the law makes them "victims twice, as a result denying them counseling and healing."

He said that counseling in "direct violation" of religious or personal beliefs, "only precipitates greater confusion and depression and the likelihood of suicide."

"This legislation is a classic example of psychiatric ignorance combined with political neglect," he said, complaining of "compromises" that members of the California Psychiatric Association. made with state legislators to enact the law.

Bisexual women and gay men face elevated risks of intimate partner violence, according to a new Williams Institute report published in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence.

“As Congress considers reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act and we reflect on Domestic Violence Awareness Month, our report’s findings highlight that these issues also impact the LGBT community,” said Naomi G. Goldberg, MPP, who created the report along with Ilan H. Meyer, Ph.D., senior scholar for public policy at the Williams Institute.

Among the key findings:

* Bisexual women had elevated risks of experiencing intimate partner violence compared with heterosexual women, lesbians, and women who have sex with women over the course of the lives and in the past year. But significantly, in 95% of intimate partner violence annual incidents reported by bisexual women, the perpetrator was a male intimate partner, so the violence occurred outside a same-sex relationship.

* Gay men had elevated risk of experiencing intimate partner violence compared with heterosexual and bisexual men, as well as men who have sex with men but do not identify as gay or bisexual. Almost all (97%) of the annual incidents of intimate partner violence incidents occurring to male victims involved a male intimate partner.

* Binge drinking and a history of psychological distress predicted intimate partner violence, but these factors did not explain disparities between bisexual and heterosexual women or between gay and heterosexual men.

The researchers’ findings are based on a 2007-2008 sample of the California Health Interview Survey. The authors compared patterns of intimate partner violence among four groups: heterosexual men and women, bisexual men and women, gay men and lesbians, and men and women who have had sex with members of the same gender but are not identified as gay, lesbian, or bisexual. The study defined intimate partner violence as physical and verbal abuse, or threats of physical abuse, by a current or former wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, or someone else an individual has lived with or dated.

The Massachusetts Department of Education has issued a new directive for schools in the handling of transgendered students, including allowing them to use whichever restroom they choose.

“Transgender students who are uncomfortable using a sex-segregated restroom should be provided with a safe and adequate alternative, such as a single ‘unisex’ restroom or the nurse’s restroom,” the 11-page directive reads.

The directive also states even though some students may feel uncomfortable with sharing the same sex-segregated restroom or locker room as the transgendered student, the “this discomfort is not a reason to deny access to the transgender student.”

The Massachusetts Family Institute denounced the new rules calling them a violation of privacy.

“Fundamentally, boys need to be using the boys’ room and girls need to be using the girls’ rooms, and we base that on their anatomical sex, not some sort of internalized gender identity,” Andrew Beckwith, the institute’s general counsel, told Fox News’ Todd Starnes.

He said said the new policy has a “very broad standard that is ripe for abuse.”

The directive also requires that all transgendered students be allowed to participating in gender-specific activities that he or she identifies with.
“A student who says she is a girl and wishes to be regarded that way throughout the school day and throughout every, or almost every, other area of her life, should be respected and treated like a girl,” the guidelines stipulate.

Another issue the directive clarifies is birth names and the gender-neutral or gender-specific the transgendered student chooses. For example, if Alexander goes through a gender transition while attending a Massachusetts school, instructors and school officials will then have to adopt the name the student prefers, such as Alexandra.

“School personnel should use the student’s chosen name and pronouns appropriate to a student’s gender identity, regardless of the student’s assigned birth sex. … It is important to develop a plan for initiating use of the chosen name and pronouns consistent with the student’s gender identity,” the directive reads.

This means that if a transgender student whose gender identity is male has a school record that reflects an assigned birth sex as female, then upon request by the student or, in the case of young students not yet able to advocate for
themselves, by the parent or guardian, the school should change the gender marker on the record to male.

In sum, school personnel should use the student’s chosen name and pronouns appropriate to a student’s gender identity,regardless of the student’s assigned birth sex. For those students who have been attending a school and undergo gender transition while attending the same
school, it is important to develop a plan for initiating use of the chosen name and pronouns consistent with the student’s gender identity.

Where there are sex-segregated classes or athletic activities, including intramural and interscholastic athletics, all students must be allowed to participate in a manner consistent with their gender identity. With respect to interscholastic athletics, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association will rely on the gender determination made by the student’s district; it will not make separate gender identity determinations.

Chicago Passes Sex-Ed for Kindergartners

While most U.S. public schools start sex education in the fifth grade, sex education will be coming to Chicago kindergartners within two years as part of an overhaul of the Chicago public schools sexual health program.

The new policy, which the Chicago Board of Education passed Wednesday, mandates that a set amount of time be spent on sex education in every grade, beginning in kindergarten.

Chicago has the third-largest public school system in the country, with 431,000 students.

“It is important that we provide students of all ages with accurate and appropriate information so they can make healthy choices in regards to their social interactions, behaviors and relationships,” Barbara Byrd-Bennett, the CEO of the Chicago Public School System, said in a statement. “By implementing a new sexual health education policy, we will be helping them to build a foundation of knowledge that can guide them not just in the preadolescent and adolescent years, but throughout their lives.”

Under the new policy, the youngest students – the kindergartners — will learn the basics about anatomy, reproduction, healthy relationships and personal safety. Through the third grade, the sex-ed lessons will focus on the family, feelings and appropriate and inappropriate touching. In the fourth grade, students will start learning about puberty, and HIV. Discussions will emphasize that the virus cannot be transmitted through everyday contact such as shaking hands or sharing food.

From the fifth through the 12th grade, the emphasis will be on reproduction, the transmission and prevention of HIV/AIDS, and other sexually-transmitted diseases, bullying and contraception, including abstinence.

Parents or guardians of students can opt out of the sexual health education program if they so choose.
Developed by the Chicago Public Schools Office of Student Health and Wellness last year, the policy was designed to align the Chicago public school system with the standards in President Obama’s national HIV/AIDS strategy.

I'm a 30yo gay guy in a ~5 year long open relationship. I'm not positive but a 26yo friend with privileges tested HIV-positive around a year ago, after 4/5 months of once a week casual sex with about 15 different grown up men between 30/40 years old (this detail will become relevant at the end of my post). Me and my SO had have sex with my friend about 5 or 6 times but before he started his self-destructive casual sex period I mentioned above.

I really panicked when he was diagnosed because I also had about 1 year non-stop of weekly/bi-weekly one night stands. About 5 of them where I was fucked and cummed into without protection or the protection broke. Being on the receiving end in anal sex is one of the most likely means of transmission, about 3% in general but rises to 15% if you visibly saw blood on the condom/penis (which was the case in all of my bareback experiences). I was really light on details to my SO about this.

When he was diagnosed we didn't really knew if he had contracted the virus from me (I had cummed in his mouth and he had cummed in mine), so I got tested. Thankfully I was negative in both the quick tests and the more precise ones.
