Despite the occasional drunken Maori native, New Zealand is incredible, there is a helicopter service in Te Anau that will take all over Fiordland, mountains of mist, the lakes even the LOTR locations.
Also, the fishing, and beaches will blow you away. Rent a car and buy a map, there is just too much great stuff to gawk at to bother with the geriatric tour busses.

Lindenstraße has got to be the most mentally ill television series I've ever watched. I could only view it for a few minutes, out of curiosity, before having to flip the channel so as not to blow my mind. I've always wondered if the series was trying to immitate the viewing public or vice versa
