Here is some music I made in my spare time while I was in a "sci-fi". I plan to make some more whenever the creative urge for it comes back. Its just ambient/electronica type of stuff so nothing "heavy" like I've talked about her.
Please dont be too harsh in your criticism. It was my first attempt at some actual music creation.
The "band" if you will, is called Fractal Perspective. The name came to me after watching an awesome documentary on fractals.
Well anyway, anyone bored enough, why not give it a listen and tell me what you think? Maybe rate the song on there.

Several people here are on dial-up so I don’t think you’re going to get too many responses, those files are huge.
I listened to Below the City; it’s a little too repetitive. I didn’t care for all of it but I liked 1:20 thru 3:20. It reminded me of movie background music and could play in the background to an angst ridden story at the beginning. The part 5:00 to the end, could play in the background, as a solution is being formed.
Nighttime in the City flows along very well. Again, I thought this too would play well as background music to the ending of a movie whereas the main obstacle was overcome but the future was uncertain.
Overall not bad, the Nightime song was by far the better of the two.
Could you create something that would play well accompanying a battle, with lots of bass and a little more tempo?

Thanks for the critique. Thats ambient for you. Sometimes youre in the mood for it and sometimes not (as with everything).
I'm currently working on more "serious" stuff. I have just started working on 1 song and have about 3 and a half minutes done but I'll probably chop off a section. I have some more songs in mind that I will probably start working on soon. When I have something done I'll start have to create another band on that page so I can upload the music for it. Its a good website because you can get your songs hosted for free with unlimited bandwith (as far as I'm aware). Only downside is you can upload a total of 50mb for each band you have on there.
Well accompanying a battle? Give me time. Perhaps something I make in the future will resemble that. :D

You're welcome.

Post it here as soon as you upload it there. I'd like to hear it.

I've always loved the instrumentation to the Bush - Chemicals Between Us song. I thought that would play well to a battle scene if the vocals were taken out.

I am crazy about Nighttime In The City! That just so happens to be the type of music I am in the market for these days. I use songs like this to help relax me at bed time and to help cancel out neighborhood noise. I have a fair selection of these albums geared toward helping one relax and Georgie, I am telling you that Nighttime In The City is as good as anything I've heard there. Great job! :)
If your muse should allow, I would love a song with long, low tones to help mask the boomcar noise that invades my home. I imagine that it is a delicate balance between merely adding more boom to the mix and creating a white noise that would reduce my perception of the offending bass. But if you come up with something, I would be so very grateful.
