This group of multi-culture loving "country" singers has already been covered but I didnt realize just how bad it really was with them.

"Wild West Show" by Big & Rich (Big Kenny/John Rich/Blair Daly)

1st Verse

I'm feelin' like Tonto
Ridin' a Pinto
Tryin' to chase the Lone Ranger down
I'm a little unraveled
But I'm still in the saddle
Cryin' your name out to the clouds
Hey ya, hey ya ah

2nd Verse

Why don't you meet me
Back at the teepee
We'll lay down by the campfire
And there in the dark night
We'll smoke the peace pipe
Forget about who's wrong or right
Hey ya, hey ya ah

Chorus

(Yeah) It was a big showdown
Oh yeah, we stood our ground
Shot out the lights
It got a little crazy
Don't want to see us go
The way of the buffalo
Don't want to have another wild west show
Hey ya, hey ya ah
(Hey ya, hey ya ah)

3rd Verse

Only forgiveness will finally end this
There won't be a witness if we both fall
There's never a hero in a battle of ego
There's never a winner of the quick draw
Hey ya, hey ya ah

"Love Train" by Big & Rich (Big Kenny/John Rich/Jon Nicholson)

1st Verse

I see people gettin' mad on CNN
Who's right, Democrats or Republicans
I don't care who's right or wrong
I know a way we can all get along

Chorus

(And) (Let's) take a ride
Let's take a ride on the love train
Unwind, we'll be chug-a-luggin' all the way
Let's roll, like the Stones playin' all day, hey
Let's take a ride
Let's take a ride on the love train

2nd Verse

The whole color thing's never made sense to me
Who gives a hoot if you're red, yellow, purple, or pink
We're all mixed up anyway
We might as well give each other a break

(Repeat Chorus)

Bridge

So let's forget about the hatin'
And the way the Bulls are playin'
Without Jordan on the team
And the high price of gasoline
And if you're livin' in a bubble
Then I guess you got no troubles
If you're anything like me
Well then, I bet you really need to...

(Chorus Out)

I would assume that the rest of their songs are just as "kosher friendly". No wonder they got so popular.

I'm sure they want all those stupid White kids to believe that every negro is just as "friendly" as this one.

Close your eyes and ears and simply create an unrealistic multicultural society around you...

That "A.Wyatt Mann" is brilliant! The best, most hilarious racist cartoonist I've ever seen. :D

Hey NB, I was talking with a friend two weeks ago, saying how CMT isn't country music anymore, he asked, "Well, what is real country music?"

I responded, "Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Merle Haggard." I left out people he clearly wouldn't recognize like Flatt & Scruggs, Hank Snow, etc..

He retorted, "Willie Nelson sucks...so does Hank Williams."

OK, I thought, not being a name brand loyalist, I shrugged it off and queried what country music he liked.

"Big and Rich."

I thought of you immediately, and your regard for B & R! No kidding.

He then further corroborated his taste in country by asserting that Hank Williams Jr. was great, but Hank Williams Sr. and Hank Williams III sucked.

I'm also working on trying to help this guy see the light of WN, but it's a struggle there as well. He's my wife's cousin, so I'm stuck with him. :o

He's precisely the sort of brainless turd Murray is gunning for with the "new, hip, multicultural" CMT. Tie the bastard down and continuously play a tape loop consisting of Your Cheatin' Heart, He Stopped Loving Her Today, Hello, Darlin', Mama Tried & Luckenbach, Texas for, oh, 10 days or so.

If after this treatment he's still a Dick n' Bitch fan, shoot him.

If anyone lives in California and likes OLD timey country, Wayne Hancock is gonna be there for two weeks on a west coast tour. I just saw him Friday in Ft Worth, and the sounds like he could be Hank Sr. reincarnated! Stand up bass, rhythm and lead guitar, and they played for three hours and it only cost ten bucks. Narrowly avoided humiliating myself...I was about to ask this girl if I could buy her a beer, or if she wanted to dance, when she leans over and introduces herself as Wayne's gf, and asked if I was enjoying the show. Anyways, Hancock kicks all kinds of ass, damn cool guy, and seems to be a living country song encyclopedia (and has an insanely cute gf). Go see him and forget that shit like Big & Rich even exists.

You can download a few of live shows here for free:

I'm telling you guys, you MUST see him if you're into country. Its like going back 50 years in time. Its a fucking religious experience! Grab a gal and have some fun if you ever get to catch one of his shows. If you don't like to dance, you will after you see him. :D I'd say he's most similar to Hank Sr/III (actually wrote three of the best songs on Hank III's first album, including Thunderstorms & Neon Signs), except with a little more rockabilly and swing influence.
