The pattern is a simple log cabin block. With the last strip the darkest color to give it's 1930's feel. Would be easy to do :)

It's eaiser than making clothes or figuring out curtains.

I learned how to quilt by checking out books from the library and using a very old hand-me down sewing machine.

The right side of the fabric is the side that you see. The wrong side of the fabric is the back. Sew two "right" sides together, press (using an iron) open and that is a good start. Just add to your squares, or rectangles, more strips or squares. It's about sewing right sides together. It is quite enjoyable and I use it as my escape from the kids and hubby. It can get quite addicating.
