From time to time I hand out a rep point, and add some comment. Now for me it's easy to put 999 at the end, but most of the longer name owners won't bother.

My question is if it's easy to implement that. If it is, I will make a poll about it.

And dare I say it but they have this facility on other forums,most notably Stormfront.
I always add my initials AL for identification.

so, authentication of point awards, both good and bad, would be a good thing I agree.

Big signature pictures can be really annoying. I say try to use your avatar as one. Although dr. Brandt's signature pic is very good:

Didn't think of people giving false names. Another reason to have the username automatically added.

People usually don't want to do more with the rep points than say thank you to the poster without too much hassle.

What's the purpose of these brownie points, anyway :confused: ? A 1/2 second long explanation appears immediately after point donation, which is too quick for anyone to read except the dead president Kennedy

I have seen on TNP the option that in the rep-point list you can not only add a comment, but there is a section where you can see who gave you the points.

I don't sign the rep points I hand out with the exception of one time that I did so. It eliminates the chance of somebody feeling an obligation to return it.

I find that odd. I've never felt obligated to return a point because someone said something nice about me, though I do appreciate it.
I haven't either but I can see that it's a possibility and thus not signing the points nixes that possibility.
Lately I've mostly been getting flamed, which never happened before. Apparently I'm not the only one. Same here, you're not alone.
