since all the good threads get boged down in the main discussion area could some of these be moved to a "Best of..." area - esp those threads whereas the experts answer the topic at hand?

And the threads that would be beneficial for newcomers to WN,

for instance the Tim McVeigh thread was good once Martin Lindstedt and Alex Linder posted on that thread.

I'm sure there are very good threads that are lost in the thickets that need to be set to the aside.

I would even suggest to lock these threads (once the conversation has ended) so posters could not post to them.

Have the mods be the ones to move the posts to the "best of" of threads otherwise they would get flooded also.
