Miss America Does Not Have Date This Year
By JOHN CURRAN, Associated Press Writer
Sun Jun 19, 2:57 PM ET
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - In any other year, Miss Delaware Becky Bledsoe would be making her travel plans. The folks at Fischer Florists would know when they have to deliver all the corsages and bouquets. Boardwalk Hall would have a two-week period blocked out for pageant rehearsals, preliminary competitions and the crowning of the new Miss America.
But this is not any other year. Miss America doesn't have a date, and the uncertainty has her world in a tizzy.
With three months to go before its traditional start, the beauty pageant is still without a TV contract and has yet to establish a date for the crowning, which traditionally is held in early September.
"It is, candidly, looking more and more like September's out of the picture," said Bob Arnhym, executive director of the Miss California Scholarship Pageant. "Logistically, there's an awful lot of detail that has to be attended to."
Dropped by ABC last fall because of record-low viewership, the Miss America pageant has been searching for a new television outlet to carry the 84-year-old pageant.
Art McMaster, CEO of the Miss America Organization, has declined repeated requests for an interview about the pageant's hunt for a new TV outlet. Spokeswoman Jenni Glenn said Friday the pageant is in "final negotiations with interested networks" and will have an announcement within two weeks.
Keeping the pageant on the air is a necessity — both for visibility's sake and because the Miss America Organization has historically depended on TV revenue to run the show and pay for the scholarships awarded to contestants. In 2003, $5.6 million of its $6.9 million in revenue came from ABC, according to its tax return.
The delay in setting a date has left state pageants, their contestants, Miss America vendors and the operators of Boardwalk Hall — where Miss America is named each year — in limbo.
"I'm asked all the time, `Hey, what's going on with Miss America?'" said Jeffrey Vasser, executive director of the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority. "Art McMaster assures me there will be a pageant this year. They do have a couple opportunities on the table, but he wouldn't tell me what they are."
Pageant officials have said they are considering a shift away from the tired formula of the telecast — which drew only 9.8 million viewers last year — in favor of something more in line with reality TV shows.
After being cast off by ABC, they hired talent agency William Morris and are said to be aggressively pursuing cable networks, with McMaster proposing to "open up the sacred doors of Miss America," as he told an interviewer in April.
Instead of a once-a-year special that struggles to interest viewers, McMaster has pitched the idea of Miss America as a show aired over several nights, with viewers getting to know the contestants as they do on "American Idol" and other reality shows.
Whatever it is, Miss America's next TV outlet will likely scotch the saccharine speeches about world peace in favor of televised backbiting among the women vying for the crown.
"I don't think there's an audience for squeaky clean," said Shari Anne Brill, director of programming for ad-buying firm Carat. "It has to be modernized in the way we've all been fed such reality. You need to see the tears, the drama, the makeup, the mascara, the crisis of finding out you have a zit."
Meanwhile, the Miss America world waits.
"I'm getting impatient. I want to know," said Leah Summers, who runs the Miss West Virginia Scholarship Pageant.
"Every year, we end the show with a line like `Congratulations to the new Miss West Virginia, Suzie Q, and please join us as we watch her compete in Atlantic City on September 19th.' We can't say that this year. We can't say where or when."

Thanks, Jews, for destroying wholesomeness, for turning everything dirty, for milking every possible event for scandal to generate 'buzz' and increase those numbers.

I have nothing against doing away with them. They have always put women on too high a pedestal, and I hate to ever agree with feminazis, but they are sexist, they are a grand manipulatiopn of women, put them through all kinds of hell and anxiety, and for what?Men have never had such stupid contests.
Not that this will stop the shitskins or spics from ending their God-awful abominations of pageants. They will keep those tacky, tasteless, ugly things going. And black racists galore will claim that "Eyyy, isss 'cuz ahhhs wur jess too good,an' Whitery saw dat,an' jess GAVE UP,he saw dat his own pee-pul jiss got sick an' tahhrd uh awww dat borin' ass White music an' singin' an' dancin' shit, dey wunnid d' see duh reeeeel sheeeeeit",or something equally ignorant, and most people of all races will accept it as fact, and if they don't,they're labled racist, etc, etc.

We love human beauty because it is a sign of health. The waist-to-hip ratio in women shows child-bearing capability, firm breasts show youth, a broad male chest shows strength, smooth skin shows youth, etc. Beautiful faces have proportions aligned with the Golden Cut which appears again and again in nature; it shows symmetry, and symmetry is needed for the human body to function.
We like clear eyes, not blood-shot eyes; a strong voice, not a raspy voice; a fresh breath, not a smelly breath; strength, not weakness; smooth motions, not jerky motions; a clean body, not a dirty body -- because all of these are signs of health, and health is survival. Survival is our highest instinct.
We have beauty pageants for women and not for men for the reason that men are more easily attracted by the visible than women are. That comes from the fact that men who have sex with many women have a bigger chance of their behavior genes surviving; so men needed to be turned on easily. Women on the other hand are more attracted by words and personality etc, because they must select carefully the father for their offspring.
There's no "patriarchal conspiracy" behind it like the stupid feminists claim, it's simple biology. Blunt evidence: if women were turned on by the visible as easily as men, there would be more porn directed at women. Instead, there's more romantic novels directed at women than at men.
Beauty pageants are a celebration of beauty and therefore of health, and therefore of survival. Nationalism is all about survival and improvement. If someone's feelings are hurt in the process, tough luck. Making a world to suit the weakest is the corrupt foundation of Jewish Marxism/Liberalism. Making a world that asks you to improve is the foundation of Conservatism/Nationalism. Our way works, theirs doesn't.
Beauty pageants are just as important as athletic competitions and giving rewards to the brightest children in the classroom. It should be noted that outside the West the best kids in class are rewarded openly and without excuses, perhaps by receiving a hand-written card with gold stars in it by their teacher. And beauty pageants are enjoyed by all, because they don't listen to feminists and their lies. We are being beaten by muds here, people. Better get our act together.

This is a story about a nigger celebration called juneteenth being held in a little Florida town’s public park. Make note that the celebration will include “the Miss Juneteenth pageant, to be held Friday to recognize young black women”. A pageant that will exclude White girls. The city of Zephyrhills is sponsoring (paying for) an event that is purposely discriminating against White girls and we hear not a peep of outrage from diversity supporters. This proves that niggers are racists and the jew approves of their racism. It’s only White racism that the jew hates. But we all know that.
Juneteenth fest will be fitting - and fun, too;

This year's Juneteenth Celebration in Pasco County is more than a whirl of pageants, forums, free Haagen-Dazs ice cream and the tune of joyful gospel voices resonating throughout Zephyr Park, organizers say. It's a fitting tribute to the generations of African- Americans who suffered under years of slavery.
The Black Caucus of Pasco County and the city of Zephyrhills will host the second annual Juneteenth celebration starting tonight with a discussion on human rights issues, which leads into a weekend that includes a pageant, gospel fest and celebrations at individual homes and churches.
All events are free and open to the public.
Juneteenth, which celebrates the end of slavery in the United States, is needed so that similar atrocities won't ever again occur, organizer and community activist Blanche Benford said.
"You can't go back 200 years and redo things," Benford said. "It is inhumane to treat another human like that, and this is important so my granddaughter and her grandchildren and their grandchildren will know where we came from."
New to Zephyrhills' version of the holiday celebration is the Miss Juneteenth pageant, to be held Friday to recognize young black women in Pasco County. Miss Juneteenth hopefuls can still register for the pageant by contacting Benford at (813) 312-6345.
The forum tonight and the Miss Juneteenth pageant at 7 p.m. Friday will be at the American Legion Post 118, 5340 Eighth St., in Zephyrhills.
Zephyr Park will be filled with gospel voices Saturday as part of a daylong festival with various vendors, dancers, speakers, hot-air balloon rides and a barbecue.
The annual celebration remembering the plight of enslaved blacks in U.S. history will close Sunday, the day officially designated as Juneteenth, with recognition in several area churches about the significance of the holiday.
Though all events are free, the Black Caucus hopes to collect donations to launch a scholarship fund for young black men and women in Pasco County.

How do Pageants, in themselves, put women on to high a pedestal?
And yes, they are put through some "hell and anxiety", but so what? It is a competition and that is what any competition is going to put someone through. They are not going to fall apart, they can handle it. ;) And wouldn't all they go through be well worth it and even possibly improve the experience for them if they win or at least come close to winning? The feminist argument fails, at least in regards to the women who compete in these competitions I would assume. They will say the typical things about the women are being used and displayed as sex objects.etc. But a woman who is in one of these pageants likely is proud of how she looks and of her body, as she should be, considering she probably works very hard to maintain that body, and likes the attention that she is getting.

I would like to see Miss America contests go away. Its been so Jewized, and fucked up by affirmative action, there is no real way they can judge beauty.
Besides, I don't want some nigger, gook,or mexicoon representing my country.
I would much rather look at some fat pimply red babboons ass, then let a bunch of pro-affirmative action faggots, feminist, idiots tell me whats beautiful.
Miss Universe should also go away. they do their damndest to exclude the most beautiful of all "The White Woman".
The most beautiful thing on earth, is the White Female!!!

Well said. I remember what some feminists said about the Miss Universe Pageant; they showed the sponsors, and it was sponsored by -- gasp! -- cosmetic companies!
So CLEARLY it's all a big patriarchal, Big Business conspiracy to make women buy more make-up.
The Marxists refuse to see what is natural behavior. It is only natural for a cosmetics company to, when it buys ad time, buy it during a pageant instead of a football game. That doesn't mean they're in control of it, like the Marxist so desperately wants to believe.
They say you only think beautiful women are beautiful because that's what the cosmetics industry and fashion industry want to you believe, so they can sell more products. Stupid, retarded idiots. Why would they make an effort to push thinness as an ideal? Can't they sell cosmetics to fat women? Can't they sell clothes to fat women? In fact, wouldn't the fashion industry want women to be fatter, so more material is used for the clothes, making them more expensive?
What about the food and fast-food industries? Wouldn't they want to take control of the pageants and Hollywood movies too and push fat as a beauty ideal? If, like the commies imagine, there's no natural beauty ideal, and that it can be twisted and turned in any direction by the evil capitalists.
What about pharmaceutics? Wouldn't those who make medicines want to push fat as an ideal, as it causes more health problems, so you'll have to buy their products? What about the oil industry? The more fat people, the more car use instead of walking.
Who has the most money: oil and pharmaceutics, or the make-up industry? Gee, tough question.
If the communists had it right, and our beauty sense were determined by the evil pageants and the evil capitalists behind them, then we'd all be thinking FAT IS BEAUTIFUL.
But it's not so. We think thin is beautiful, a certain waist-to-hip ratio in women and a certain waist-to-shoulders ratio in men is beauty, because of our instincts. Hence, Nationalism is right, Jewish communism/feminism is wrong. The beauty pageants adapt to human nature, they don't create it.

Looking at another way,why dosen't it sell?First what does Miss America pagent stand for?Your first thought might be the girl next door that you see in church.A girl you could take home to mom, that image.Today America wants a slut, look anywhere and thats all you see.Young white girls dressing like what they see.Society has changed way to much now how to get it back that is the big question.
