matthew 16:13-16 nkjv
13) when Jesus came into the region of caesarea philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, "who do men say that i, the son of man, am?"
14) so they said, "some say john the baptist, some elijah, and others jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15) he said to them, "but who do you say that i am?"
16) simon peter answered and said, "you are the Christ, the son of the living God." Jesus of nazareth. these three words have brought about more controversy in 2,000 years than any other person throughout history. mention the name of Jesus in a crowded room and the reactions will range from outright hostility to utter devotion. who is this man that has been called "the Christ?" the stories tell us of a man who:
was born in a manger 2,000 years ago.
and she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
luke 2:7 nkjv
was raised as a carpenter in nazareth.
then he went down with them and came to nazareth, and was subject to them, but his mother kept all these things in her heart.
luke 2:51 nkjv
"is this not the carpenter, the son of mary, and brother of james, joses, judas, and simon? and are not his sisters here with us?" and they were offended at him.
mark 6:3 nkjv
traveled through the lands of judea and galilee teaching the people and performing miracles.

but now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

are these stories true? or, like the ancient stories of greece and rome, are they mere fantasy?
did Jesus really exist?
