I thought this (http://dailyfreeman.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=14875401&BRD=1769&PAG=461&dept_id=74969&rfi=8) was a neat little story on what could be considered a "White" hobby. I was going to post it up for all to enjoy, but noticed there was no forum for hobbies. Just a thought...

Yeah that's interesting. But I think other than White activism, if people arent enjoying their families or working, they ought to be doing a side activity that will help them out, like gardening or shooting or such like. Learn something useful as a hobby in case the old "collapse" really does come about. Just my opinion.

You know, people use the term "hobbyist" as a put-down, but I have found in life that "afficianados" of a given activity are sometimes the most knowledgeable-- even more so than professionals, because they are motivated by love and passion for the given subject!

Why don't you start a thread on this subject, and then it could be your baby, you could keep it alive by posting new stuff if others let it slide. It'll live or die according to how valuable it is. Give it a try, I'd be interested to read it.

Thanks. I thought it was pretty interesting. I still think that as the VNN forum grows, having a forum devoted to productive "White hobbies" would be a good idea. (Woodworking, metalworking, etc.)

Maybe it just really caught my attention because I picked up a pretty good Craftsman lathe at a yard sale a few years ago...and haven't set it up yet?

It would be great to "infiltrate" a club like this one, to try to wake up a few sleeping Whites!

As we move along, and continue using oil at an astronomical rate...we just may end up building furniture by hand again...on a lathe that's powered by hydro-electricity, or squirrels in a cage. :)

Our general idea is to try to keep the number of forums down, and let subforums appear as user demand drives them. Sometimes we create forums or subforums to stimulate interest. Start a thread somewhere in White Life category, would be the way to go.
