Complaint to be filed demands banning of PNOS
Aarau - Another complaint to be filed against the radical right-wing Party of National Orientated Swiss (PNOS) demanding they be banned.
In the first instance the submission of the complaint failed: The police did not want to allow the complaint to be filed. Herr Heinz Kaiser submitting the complaint is from of the organisation “World Citizens”. However, the Cantonal Police (Kapo) referred him to consult with the responsible investigating officer at the District Authority Aarau. He was told he should submit it on Monday [25.07.2005] when the judge, who has covered the case against the PNOS, returns from her holidays. Heinz Kaiser was outraged: "In my opinion the police were simply overtaxed and as a result they sent me away after waiting two hours". On inquiring the media speaker for Kapo Mr. Rudolf Woodtli explained that they merely obeyed "the instructions of the District Authority who has higher authority than we do".
Racist party manifesto?
According to Kaiser the motivation for filing the complaint is the verdict of the District Authority of Aarau.
This court is the first that had established that the Party Program of the extreme-right group is the "collective vilification of foreigners" and is an offence against the Swiss anti-racism penal code. Heinz Kaiser is convinced if the judge has determined that the party program is racist then the party must be banned. By filing the complaint he wants to provoke the courts and public prosecutor's office "at last to actively take steps against the racial-discriminating PNOS ". It was also Kaiser who filed the complaint which led to the conviction of the PNOS executive members. They were condemned on the 1st July to fines of CHF 300 and CHF 500. Two other party members were fined because of a racist poster each with CHF 300.
