Well, first of all, to whomever handles the e-mail on this site, disregard the message I just sent. Whatever the intial problem was, it seems to have been corrected, as you see that I am now posting. (What happened was, as soon as I had finished typing the e-mail and hit "Send", a new log-in box popped up on the screen, and, this time, I was able to log-in successfully. )



Secondly, about the avatars......is there just something I'm missing here or what? Since I'm new to this forum, I mean, what I'm wondering is whether there is some button I can click on that will take me to a profile page or something, where I can choose one?



I remember on SF, once you registered with them, there was a "Profile" button that would come up on the top of the screen, and all you had to do was click on it, and you could update your information. Of course, with them, you got to choose an avatar on the registration page when you registered, and this site doesn't seem to be set up that way.



I guess the question I'm really asking is: Is there a set of pre-created avatars you can choose from somewhere on this site, or are the only people who have avatars here just the ones who imported them from another site or forum? Because, if it's the latter, then I guess I'm pretty much screwed on that count, since I am a virtual cyber-illiterate and that kind of thing is way beyond my ken right now.



PS: How many smilies are allowed in a post? I think I put about five in this one, initially, but it kept saying I had "too many images", so I deleted them all. You would think that information would be posted somewhere. Sheesh.

There is no pre-created avatars here. You have to find/make one yourself. I believe the posts are limited to 2 images per post, whether they be smilies or actual pics/uploads.
