Also, please be patient, as this database is being constantly updated and corrected. When the old forum went down, the last save I had of this database was from 8/3/03. I will continue to update as often and as accurately as I can. Thank you in advance for all of your participation in this endeavor. All contributors are acknowledged at the bottom of this post.

Who is/isn't White?

Folks, I have to draw the line somewhere. It may sound a bit self-centered, but I have decided to implement my own standards as to who should or should not be considered White, insofar as this database is concerned.

1. Cameron Diaz, according to biographical information pulled off the web, has a mother who is 1/4 Amerindian. Cameron's father is 1/2 Cuban, and even if he is actually a White Spaniard from Cuba, Cameron is not 100% White.

Now, to the undiscerning, non-anthropological-expert eye (which can be applied to most of us), she does not give any outward physical appearance of being anything but White, nor, to my knowledge, has she spent her every waking moment trying to join the "Native Celebrities Directory (http://www.nativecelebs.com)." THEREFORE...on this database, she is considered White. As far as I'm concerned, any celebrity who not only looks White but has eight White great-grandparents will go in that category.

2. Keanu Reeves, who is 1/4 Chinese and 1/4 Pacific Islander, is considered "White" only in that he is represented as such in his films. Actors who are by and large considered White but aren't will be noted.

3. Jews are not considered White on this database (not even 1/2 or 1/4 Jews). However, their inclusion in the "Jews with Whites" category is reliant upon the filmmakers' portrayal of the character as Jewish. For example: Ben Stiller is definitely one of the tribe. This is made painfully clear in "Meet the Parents" and "Keeping the Faith", but not in "There's Something About Mary".

4. On this database, mulattoes, quadroons and octoroons are negroes. When an actor is mixed between two non-White races, I'll consider him the lesser of the two (i.e. I consider Robert Beltran to be Mestizo, not Native American, even though he is half of each).

5. I believe that it is Hymie's intention to equate, in the minds of the moviegoing public, the "sexy Latin types" played by White Spaniards on screen with the filthy Mestizo invaders now occupying the White American homeland. So, when Whites like Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas and Oliver Martinez are in that category, don't pop a stitch: I'll point out that they are White. Likewise, when a White celebrity turns out to have blood ties to a "some-are-White-some-are-not" country in Central or South America, I'll merely point out their heritage; you can determine for yourself whether they should count.

6. I am including every major motion picture and made-for-TV feature I can find. However, there are three types of miscegenation I am excluding from this database:
a. Homosexual interracial relationships/encounters (i.e. "Sweet Home Alabama")
b. mixing between two non-White races (i.e. "Training Day")
c. Porno movies

7. For the purposes of this database, I am considering Mediterraneans to be White. I'm not going to go to the trouble of splitting hairs whether someone should be counted as White because they come from Lower West Bonerobia instead of Upper West Bonerobia. Once again, just use your own standards there.

8. Finally, When Whites portray non-Whites, they will be noted as such (i.e. Christina Applegate as a Jewess in "The Big Hit" or Charlton Heston as a Mexican in "Touch of Evil"). A more difficult one is Rod Steiger in "The Pawnbroker". He is a White man portraying a Jew who gets it on with a negress. But, since all the moviegoer sees is an old White man with a young negress, I put it in there. Same goes for Jewess Lisa Kudrow who portrays a mudsharking Jewess in "Marci X".

The system may not have all of the bugs worked out of it yet, but we're getting there. The important thing is that we all take it in perspective; that Jews, other non-Whites and many White traitors are working daily to make the public's viewing habits turn us more and more toward the acceptance and approval of race-mixing.

It's "Stella Gets Her Groove Back" meets "Jungle Fever" in this modern tale of an African-American woman who has it all – looks, body, success, brains, ambition – except an IBM (Ideal Black Man).

Kenya (Sanaa Latham, "Alien vs. Predator") is a smart, beautiful account lawyer climbing the corporate ladder in a white man's world. After a recent promotion, she moves into her first home in an upper middle class section of Los Angeles.

Having just broke up with her Muslim boyfriend, she is now cocooned in her work and moving chores, despite the attempts of her slutty best friends to set her up with a man as quickly as possible.

She is then set up on a blind date (that she does not want to go on) with Brian (Simon Baker, "Ring 2," "Land of the Dead"), a handsome, muscular man, who also happens to be white. Embarrassed and a bit racist, she excuses herself from the situation.

Attending a friend's party, she raves about the garden's landscaping, only to discover it was Brian's handiwork. [And Brian is heterosexual? ;) --L.D.] Reluctantly, she takes his card and later calls him to transform her barren backyard. As usual, in films like these, a love affair slowly develops between the two seeming polar opposite individuals (she's subdued, prissy and anal retentive; he's a free spirited nature lover), but complications arise soon enough.

All of Kenya's friends tell her she should not get involved with someone not of her race, while her mother (Alfre Woodward) opening disdains the relationship. Negative comments are made about Brian's ethnicity as if being white is somehow an unbelievable evil. Who wrote this script, anyway, Louis Farrakhan?!

In addition, Brian does not always understand her constant obsession with being black, and, after making love one night, he makes an innocent remark about Kenya's hair (saying she should take out the extensions and be more natural), and she goes ballistic over it (yeah, I didn't quite get her reaction, either) and throws him out.

Meanwhile, her lawyer brother (Donald Faison, "King's Ransom," TV's "Scrubs") introduces her to another attorney, Michael (Blair Underwood, "LA Law"), and those two hit it off, based on their common occupations and race.

Still, Kenya misses the electricity and spontaneity she had with Brian, but should she buck her parents, friends and peers by actually getting serious with a Caucasian, or be safe and stay with her own kind?

It is interesting that most of the black characters are successful (lawyers, doctors, judges, etc.), while the one white lead is a gardener. [Just like always in 'reel life.' ;) --L.D.] It's a welcome diversion from all of the films in which a black is either a rapper, a thug, a drug dealer or a prostitute. We've come a long way, baby.

Directed by Sanaa Hamri (it's her feature debut), "Something New" is a compelling diversion, at times, and boasts decent performances from the leads, but seems to have trouble deciding whether it wants to be a deep drama about racial division in this country or a smart-aleck jivefest.

I also could not help thinking that if the situation were reversed, with a white woman wanting to date a black guy, would the negative comments about HIS race be as tolerated? I think not.

You really feel funny being white amidst all the brown masses, but when you watched Televisa, everyone was white...their newscasters, commercials, actors...mexican TV is european, their soap operas are european, and the ruling class simply ignored the browns, and in their movies from the 40's on, everyone is white.
