I wondered recently where all the good info on the right side of the page was. I eventually found it by accident way way down on the bottom past all ( 20 ft ) of the main page text. Something wrong. My main browser is Mozilla 1.7.3, fairly new.

I tried the Explorer browser though and it was OK - the right column is up where it can be seen by normal browsing.

So, I checked the page with the web standards validator ( validator.w3.org ) and the page has some probs. More than a few errors. Might be worth looking in to.

I complained about that quite a while back. They didn't fix it.

Actually, they fixed it so it would work in Windows/Mozilla Firefox (it does currently here).

But it still looks silly on my Mac, both Safari and Firefox.

Let me get this right. You have a Mac, but you cannot sympathize with the plight of the minority? :D

Yes, I've noted it too.

My main browser for the Mac these days is Camino. It displays VNN well. If you want Camino go to Version Tracker, http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ and do a search for Camino and download it. It is not as well integrated with RSS and iTunes as Safari, but it displays sites better.

I believe the problem may lie in the various browsers, not in VNN. I still have the problem using older versions of Firefox. Using the 1.5 version, there is no display problem. BTW, if you don't see the menu on the right hand side of the main VNN page (at http://vanguardnewnetwork.com ), then resizing your display window should result in a proper display (after a bit of fidgeting).

Well, thanks VNN webmaster. Seems to be OK now. The right column with the goodies is back up were it should be. Not a real biggie, but its nice that it is fixed. Thanks.

As I said in the OP, validator.w3.org found standards errors in the page, so what happens then may be browser dependent, but the causes will usually be the HTML errors in the page.
