With ingredients like flax seed, green lipped mussels and deer velvet, Drummond even eats it herself. (Instead of her branded "Mighty Mix", she could label it "Dr. John's Gris Gris Gumbo Grits" and the Kenyans would like it better.)

Kenyans are 'insulted' by dog food offer

A New Zealand businesswoman has provoked outrage in Kenya by promising to ship 42 tons of dog food mix to feed starving children.

"It is immoral. It is unacceptable," said John Munyes, Kenya's special programmes minister, who is co-ordinating the response to the drought that has put up to four million people at risk of starvation. He added: "I am offended. It is demeaning."

Christine Drummond, a pet-food manufacturer, said she planned to send Kenya 6,000 emergency packs of Mighty Mix dog biscuit containing freeze-dried pork, beef, chicken and mutton as well as flax seed, green-lipped mussels and deer velvet.

Mrs Drummond claims to eat it herself and says she gives it to her children.

"I sprinkle it on my porridge in the morning, and also on my lunch or tea, and it just gives me that wee pick-up," she told The Press newspaper in Canterbury, New Zealand.

Kenya has declared a national disaster because of food shortages which followed poor rains.

It's obvious that the woman should have had
a little more sensitivity with this issue
and re-packaged the dog food to
make it more acceptable for the starving niggers.

Here's an idea for a new package label.

Actually...dog biscuits are not half bad. I remember accidentally eating most of one when I was a kid, and this "made for human" brand intrigues me. If your starving, you should not turn down a dog biscuit, they aren't going to kill you and will sate your appetite. I suggest dipping them in a water dish.

Beggers can't be choosers. Why do people bother? If they cannot do anything to help themselves and they reject anything that isn't up to their standards(Africans having any standards is funny, in itself) let them starve. Dead Africans, what a terrible loss to the world.

I have tried milk bone dog biscuits as well as dog and cat food out of curiousity to see what the food that I feed my pets taste like. :D

Relax, I meant a used water dish, not a fresh one. Dog saliva brings out the true flavor of the biscuit.

HG...I wouldn't recommend eating "wet" pet food *shudder*, that stuff...some of it comes from the zoo. At least as far as dog food goes.

Let nature take its course eh? Constant relief efforts have pushed the population of hungry mouths in Africa through the roof.

Moreover, consider this. Let's say that "Joe" here is a Kenyan subsistence farmer. He has a little plot of maize. Or millet, or whatever. Conditions are poor, he is poor, his agricultural methods are crude, but he ekes out enough food to feed his family of 12 and sell the excess at the open air market in town.

Suddenly, lots of refugees pour in from the Sudan. The price of maize or millet goes up, up, up! Joe is overjoyed because soon he will have enough money from selling his small excess production, to pay for a new donkey. With that donkey, he can expand his production and have even more poop to light his cooking fires and so forth.

But Alas! After a couple months of record profits, the "UN" ships in 10 tonnes of rice and millet and maize purchased from Archer-Daniels-Midland, mostly with money "received" from Amerikwa and Europe. The price of millet and rice and maize in Joe's neck of Kenya PLUMMET. There is a glut in the local market and for the next few months NOBODY will buy even a single grain of his excess production.

In fact the "UN RELIEF EFFORT" is so successful and prolonged, "Joe" has to quit his farm, send his family to the camps to survive, while he wanders off to South Africa to try and find work in mines. Or maybe he will try and make for the coast and hitch a boat ride to the USA and be a cabbie.... Thanks UN! Thanks "Free trade!" Thanks "GLOBALISM!" Thanks JEWS!" You just ruined the life of an African family that was getting by and turned Joe into an unemployed invader of the West, and helped destroy a local agricultural economy! Whooopeee! GOOD FOR JEWS ITZ!

PS-- something like this is part of the reason why NAFTA actually INCREASED immigration pressures from Mexico to the USA. How are Mexican peons farming maize by hand, supposed to compete with highly mechanized latifundia from Iowa some of the most fertile soil on Earth? As soon as American grains flooded the Mexican market, they had to quit their farms and wander off to the ciudad for work. Then, not finding it, the least literate and employable and lowest quality racial types wandered North....
