Evil Tries to Stamp Out the "Aliveness" in Other Living Beings!
Think about it. Can you give any examples of pain to others that weren't caused by efforts to control or otherwise hurt them, and more generally by efforts to stamp out their "aliveness"? There are many aspects of "aliveness": self-esteem, freedom to move and think independently, actual physical life, etc. Granted, that we all have some need to submit to a certain amount of control in order to maintain society's functions that benefit us all, such as jobs and taxes, but these controls do not damage our basic "aliveness" except in the most extreme cases.
You must decide what to do now that you have a means of identifying both Evil and its perpetrators. How will you use your new knowledge? Will you simply roll over, play dead, and allow them to continue their abusive ways? Or will you fight back? I chose to fight back in a variety of ways, as mentioned above, and later in some other ways. Here's an overall summary of my conclusions as to effective combat tools:
1. Speak loudly and clearly to let Evildoers and others know that the Evildoers have been identified and no longer will be tolerated. The old maxim about vermin running from the harsh spotlight of exposure to hide under rocks is quite true.
2. Educate others in the ways of oppression. Read all you can about so-called "countercultural" activities, and consider writing about your experiences in order to help others.
3. Contributions of money and work are badly needed. Even though battles are being won, the war continues. Consider becoming an activist in order to help others, or just a troublemaker stirring the pot.
4. Revenge is sweet. The old maxim that paybacks are a bitch is also true. Consider litigation, reports to appropriate agencies and the media, and other vigorous counterattacks against your oppressors. Revenge books are a very popular commodity in these days of anonymous yet crushing abuses by the rich, powerful institutions and people that comprise the "Establishment".
5. The four activities so far are active counterattacks. Passive-aggressive behavior is another approach that is subtler and can work wonders. For example, you may choose to appear untroubled by an Evildoer's behavior (passive) while working in other ways to undermine it (active), e.g., by spreading the truth, or even by making the Evildoer so miserable that he or she can no longer function. Caution: don't let the seven unconscious defense mechanisms mentioned earlier creep in to undermine your own life with negativity and guilt!
If you have any doubt that you're being screwed royally by "good" folks generally and your leaders in particular, consider the spreading worldwide financial crisis. What better way to stamp out entire nations' "aliveness" than for supposedly moral political and business leaders to corrupt their citizens' savings? Powerful crooks steal everything that isn't nailed down, and then claim they can't do anything about it: "What makes the crisis so unnerving is that there is no clear solution in sight -- no financial firebreak that governments or international financial institutions can construct to slow the spread."
These vermin have no qualms about doing their dirty deeds. Why should you???
EVIL for the Hell of It? HELL YES!
There are times when situations have become so extreme -- so damaging and/or so long lasting -- that the only alternative is figurative (and maybe actual) all-out thermonuclear war. Fuck it. Let it all hang out. Burn everything down. Destroy it all.
This is the real thesis of this article, other than the recognition that Evil attempts to destroy the "aliveness" of others: Evil has become so widespread that the only way to defeat it is to become even more extreme! One must completely destroy the cancer in order to heal the body, and in so doing the body may die. This is the fundamental reality that our young people see as they kill one another in our schools. It is sad that they do not recognize that a cohesive effort to bring the entire Establishment down is needed. In total frustration, they can only manage to take out their misery on themselves and a hapless few close to them. Even intellectually bright rebels such as the Unabomber knew instinctively what they were doing, but not how to do it effectively. All that most of these losers managed to do was to kill and maim a bunch of poor, working class schmucks like themselves.
Ever notice that there have been no attacks at the real centers of Evil institutional power, e.g., board meetings or annual shareholders’ meetings of the most offensive polluters and looters? Even movies purporting to be attacks against the Establishment are made by the Establishment and so don’t really slaughter any "sacred cows". For example, Michael Douglas’ movie "Falling Down" featured a formerly loyal (his custom license plate was "DEFENS") middle-aged white male worker in the defense industry whose life was crushed by a layoff. In angry despair, he abandoned his car after its air conditioning failed in a huge Los Angeles traffic jam, and began to walk across town to his ex-wife’s home for one last visit with his daughter on her birthday. On the way he trashed a Korean grocery store when the insolent owner tried to overcharge him for a cold can of pop, beat some Chicano thugs who tried to rob him, shot up a fast food joint that wouldn’t serve breakfast his way, abused a pushy panhandler, and killed a surplus store owner who bullied him. Note, however that Douglas never attacked a single center of real power! Ditto for the poor fool(s) who blew up the Oklahoma City Federal Building. That, of course, is where the real problem lies; the most arrogant and corrupt individuals and institutions NEVER have felt the pain of the conditions they’ve created!!!
We live at the brink of epic events. Some time in the next ten years, the kernels of terminal outrage will sprout and grow their deadly tendrils. The first nuclear weapons will explode in America's largest cities, brought to us by oppressed citizens of the Third World to destroy the black "cancers" that grow here. These "cancers" endanger all nations and even the Earth itself. We Americans have lost the will power to do what is necessary, so others must help us. Wall Street in New York City, and the Capitol in Washington, D.C. will disappear in searing, cleansing waves of fire. Will we all suffer as a result? I submit that we will stagger but then recover and thrive. Perhaps other cleansing actions will be necessary too, but avalanches of various kinds will continue to roll downhill, leaving cleared ground on which to build anew.
In the immortal words of Charles Manson, "Sometimes a little evil is necessary to accomplish a great thing."
