At first I thought someone was spamming me with an unreal amount of sock puppets and wasn’t concerned. If someone wants to take the time and trouble and doesn’t want to say something to my face that is their business.

However after losing 250 points (I was about 80 a head and now I am about 180 behind) and getting several positive reputation points the past couple days I figure it is some sort of software problem. I have noticed that every single post I make is followed with an uncommented negative reputation point.

I don’t think anyone would be taking the time to sit on the computer and follow my every thread and wait for the sporadic times I post.

Here is a copy of all the negative points I have gotten since I started to keep track. Most of the posts are constructive and are agreed with even by Aryan Ld and many other non-Christians. Also the negative rep comes to fast after I post for it to actually be someone .

If it is someone they must have a massive amount of sockpuppets, I gave Steve B a positive rep point 3 months ago and I still have to spread some rep around before giving him another point, and I have given several points since then (all positive and all signed).

I am not whining or complaining, if it is someone taking the time out to do this and has the sock puppets then I have no problem. But if it is a software conflict, I would appreciate someone looking into it.

I have noticed other people making the same complaint .
Maybe there is a glitch in the software , others should comment so we can see if there is a trend .

A couple of times I've gotten a neg (blue color?) but the comments were positive; in one of those a "friendly" ID'd himself. So they both were mistakes.

The late AE mentioned that the same thing occaisionally happened to him.

Another good reason to give the name of the rep point giver automatically. There is no valid reason to let the rep point system stay anonymous.

So how do you turn your reputation off?

Well, I suppose it's possible. It would, however, take negative rep from many, many, different members in a small time. It seems unlikely to me.

For my part, SDM has never been more than an occasional annoyance. He has hung around in Pagan threads too much, where he was not wanted. But, I have made more than a few mean posts against Christians. Some I wish I had not.

In fact, I have only given negative once, and I have no idea to whom. It wasn't SDM. I shall now, give him positive rep, and let the matter go. The truth is, I wish this forum did not have such an artifact.
