One, when I click to add to someone's reputation, sometimes it lets me "approve or disapprove" and other times it does not. Why is that?

Well I did spread some around but it seems to have it's own mind about it. I dunno, I though maybe pixley would know, since she has a 20 workstation LAN and programs in php and mysql in between her molecular biology studies :eek:

* you cant give the same person rep twice without spreading some rep to other people

* maybe the user is banned?

I know what the blue dot is now. Someone with negative rep can only give a blue dot. The other thing you asked about could be giving rep to a new user as well. I think a user has to be on VNNF for a while before they can receive rep.

BTW I am the first to get the elusive 3 red dot rep. I knew Klassen was good for something. Now I must go for the holy 4.

See? what does that mean? I gave rep to someone a bit ago, then tried to give it to SDM and I got that too! Agravating. Tell Pixley to fix it!

You cant just give one person rep then give the other person rep again, you have to spread positive rep around to a bunch of people.

I have noticed this as well. This question is not about spreading rep around but only being able to give positive rep sometimes. No option to disapprove with the comment. Alas, I do not know the cause. For all I know it could be about spreading it around.

I gave someone a positive rep a year ago and have given several positive reps since then. But I tried to give that person another rep point a couple weeks back and it still said spread some rep around. Go figure.
