In September of 2006 the state election of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (short MV) will take place.

MV is located in north-east Germany,with a very high unemloyment rate and with,generally speaking, more "political incorrect" attitudes and opinions among its citizens as to the rest of Germany.

Adding to that a good local functioning neonazi scene and more than 50 Kameradschaften across the state.

Since the NPD is going to participate at the election its interesting to see what their billboards,posters and placards look like.Here some examples:

Some critical points from me:

1.First poster:

-National parties should not show faces upon their posters.We do not get voted for our personalities,as much as for our ideas and political programs.

-"Lets write history"-although this might appeal to many of the youth and political activists it does not attract "normal" citizens.We are idealists and romantics who want to change the world for the better and struggle every day for it.

But the vast majority of the voters is not.They do not want to "write history" but are rather concerned with the issues troubling them on their everyday life.

-While many like the tone of the parole "the first national party with a socialist program after 1945" this will obviously get us in trouble with the german law.

Of course we are nationalists and yes we are fanatic socialists and anti-capitalists. Important points we have to get across to the population,but which has been done in an rather unfortunate context here.The referring to 1945 will immediately activate the state persecutors who only wait for a reason to outlaw and ban us.

2.Second poster:

Yes education is important and a halt to immigration is necessery.But what do these two things have in common?

Does the NPD refer to the "green card" issue our politicians were so eager to implement so to bring in "highly educated" foreigners into the country instead of investing into our own children?

If yes than the bagedge carrying fat turkish women is a bad choice.They are the image of a poor uneducated foreigner and pose no threat to the educated german engineer for example.Much better would be the choice of a ugly smiling Indian/Chinese in a suit and tie waiting to cross the border.

3.Third poster:

No critisism at all.Its perfect.Especially considering the fact that MV is a rural state with many farmers.
