Blacks and Testosterone

We read in our local newspaper that a popular Black singer appeared in court on pornography charges. Which brings us to mention that an amazing number of Black music and sports stars have been 1) arrested; or 2) shot or murdered by other Blacks in recent years -- many more than their population numbers within American society would suggest. Note that Blacks make up only about 12% of the U.S. population.

Why are young Blacks so involved with violence? Blacks have more of the hormone testosterone than White people. That feature makes Blacks more aggressive and more prone to violence. Testosterone also makes a person less able to delay gratification, meaning that a person 'wants something now, not later.'

Of course, you will never read about Blacks and testosterone in your local newspaper, or hear about it from a news anchor.
