Self described "AN EVIL NEOCON JEWBOY!" (Yes, John called himself that) John Podhoretz has issue a threat to New York observer columnist Philip Weiss.
It was related to the column about Jews and the progressive movement, of the lack thereof which I discuss below and which can be found here (http://mondoweiss.observer.com/2006/05/my-jewish-problem-cted-my-tribe-is-no-longer-a-progressive-p.html).Later that day I opened my email to discover a message from a "John Podhoretz." It was titled "Look Out!"
I don't know John Podhoretz. I opened the note, and it said, "We know where you live!" That was all.
I was disturbed by the note and I emailed the guy back: "Huh? Who are you? What does this mean?"

John Podhoretz has now sent me a note to explain his first email (http://mondoweiss.observer.com/2006/06/john-podhoretz-issues-a-threat-to-me.html) to me:Good Lord, Weiss, I was making fun of your preposterous and hysterical neocon baiting. I presumed you would see my name at the top of your e-mail, as most people do since that is how my e-mail program is set up. I wasn't threatening you, except perhaps to threaten the exposure of your amazing lack of a sense of humor.I don't see it as funny. I wonder if this is his amazing way of apologizing.
