As it is, over half of the directories are taken up with 'stickies'. This causes a lot of threads to vanish into the second page, too quickly . Since the directories are mostly text, a page twice as long wouldn't take much more time to load .

Good call. Another idea would be to edit out some of the sticky threads. Some of them are just info that is good to have at hand. These can be tossed into a thread of ”Fast info” color of crime, CDC stats etc… this could free up some room, but still keep the info available to us at the click of a mouse.

Good idea; let the never go a ways be a thread of themselfs..
You got stickies that have not had a post in a week.

In some cases months, but the info is still used often and is good to have on hand. New posts don’t always reflect how often the info is used, just added to.

You can set your viewing results to show more threads/posts per page. I have mine set to the maximum. I used to read a thread with 20 pages now it just has 3 pages because I have my post/thread view set to the maximum setting.

Wow sean, for someone on dialup that must load super fast!
even on cable internet, having the thread view set to maximum makes it takes a minute to load the whole thing
