NY Precious Metal Review: Gold Eases
NEW YORK (Aug 19) Apparent limited buying interest, a dip in crude below $70a barrel and a continued summer-long consolidation and correction period sent gold lower in New York on Friday, traders and analysts said.
December gold fell $3.60 to settle at $621.70 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Shortly after Comex gold closed, the Chicago Board of Trade's full-sized December gold futures were down $3.40 to $622.
