Thief makes cash grab at Ajax bank

AJAX -- Police are seeking a brazen thief who fled an Ajax bank with a bag full of cash Monday evening.
Durham police said a pizza shop employee was at the TD Canada Trust branch at 15 Westney Rd. around 7:30 p.m. to deposit the daily receipts when a man reached over the victim's shoulder, grabbed the bag from the counter and took off on foot.
The employee chased the culprit but lost him. Cops responding to the robbery also came up empty-handed.
Police are looking for a black man aged 17 to 21 who is about six feet tall and has a slender build. He wore a black hooded sweater, a blue backpack and dark jeans.
