Reading this, I momentarily forgot Herr von Hoffmeister was referring to said film. I'm not sure what he liked most about it—"[b]eautiful Asia Argento" being raped on a dirty mattress in a slumhole somewhere in Rome, the "beautiful" German psychopath doing the raping, his "snazzy suit", the worthless noisetrack by "demi-god" Ennio Morricone, the Italian love of Germanity, or Italian love of death.
In any case, it's clear that all he really cares about is Germany, bad art, sadism, gore and death. Not Italian art, not the author Stendhal, etc.; and it promotes the lie that the Third Reich was itself obsessed with death, merely sadistic, that Art Deco is good art, etc. And of course, the BEAUTIFUL Asia Argento - who, within the first ten minutes of her directorial debut 'Scarlet Diva', shamelessly, wantonly courts an Amerinigger in (yet another) slum in Rome, makes out with him, then allows him to fuck her from behind in her movie trailer [she plays an actress, in the film]. Yes, Asia Argento is really an Italian to be quoting—if you enjoy trash like Dario Argento's films. I'm sure Herr von Hoffmeister has little or no idea that in Italy, only the worst elements enjoy Argento; and that Asia (née Aria) herself is seen as, you know, the dyed-in-the-wool whore she obviously is, forcing her to move to LA and star in 'xXx' with quasi-nigger "Vin Diesel".
