Not surprising. When you take a group of people (ie- White males) and begin at age 5 telling them how stupid, evil, horrible, etc they are on a daily basis for the next 13 years it comes as no surprise those people will leave or fail.

All parents should watch out for the big code word "social skills". Your boy can be sharp as a whip but if he doesn't show the proper 'social skills' then out comes the IEP. Do not sign the IEP. Refuse to sign the IEP!!!!!

What's with the IEP? Let's see -- does it mean "individualised educational program?" Is it just more paperwork? I think they hand out a sheet which the student has to take from class to class, and the teacher has to sign off on various things -- attitude, work completed, and so on. But as far as I remember, the student keeps his old classes.

Boys have a problem sitting still in class. It's completely unnatural to sit still for so many hours ever day. Then when they try to move around, they're accused of being a disruptive influence. Most parents are better off homeschooling their young.
