It is pathetic that you did not take the time to digest my post but to find a forum where you could pretend to know someone elses job and to spew racial epitaphs. I am sorry that somewhere down the line you did not cross paths with a teacher of quality…had that happened you would have learned tolerance rather than ignorance and been open to varyign points of view. My point was not to tell you that I do not make enough money or that my job is difficult…my students will all tell you I work hard, that I saved them from themselves, and that they are grateful that I am willing to do what I do. In their world I am priceless.
My point in bothering with this blog was not to argue with aboute ducation but to question why you feel the need to bash a young aspiring journalist without checking out your own facts.

Yeah, well, if I’d had you for a teacher I wouldn’t know the difference between epitaphs and epithets, would I. Look it up, sweetpea. Epitaphs are what you find on tombstones. Epithets are what you hurl at idiots. “Education major,” for instance.

And people wonder why I say we ought to do away with public schools!

had that happened you would have learned tolerance rather than ignorance and been open to varyign points of view.

We’ve established who’s the ignorant one here. Now put on the dunce cap and go sit in the corner. Being open to views that are based on lies and false assumptions, no, I see nothing good about that. I’m intolerant of what’s stupid and wrong. I don’t ask people to trust what I say and cry if they don’t. I use evidence to explain and back my position. That’s how real humans communicate, Ms Teecher.

My point was not to tell you that I do not make enough money or that my job is difficult…my students will all tell you I work hard, that I saved them from themselves, and that they are grateful that I am willing to do what I do. In their world I am priceless.

Well, you’re certainly qualifed to teach them about self-esteem. The rest, eh, not so sure.

Spoken like a true public school teacher. If I correct you with facts, ma’am, I am not bashing you. Even if the correction hurts your feelings.
