Skrewdriver is a good band for WP music.
Their lyrics are very patriotic without being over the top and the music is pretty good as well.
IMO you gotta buy "Blood and Honour", "Boots and Braces" and "After the Fire".

I don't have a huge Skrewdriver collection or anything, but from what I've listened to Skrewdriver has great lyrics. However, the production is really lousy. If you're into a polished sound you won't find it with them.
I really like Final War, Bully Boys, and Celtic Warrior.
What type of music do you usually listen to?

years ago there was an excellent mp3 download site called Odin's Lounge. Seems like it stopped working or went away sometime. Any such site now? That's where I first sampled the genre.
I suppose I like the Patriotic Songs collection by Ian Stuart more than Skrewdriver, really. But the Nordland Skrewdriver Tribute compilation of covers by other bands is excellent.

Skrewdriver consistently sounds like a local high school band recorded in someone's garage with a rather barely competent drummer. Nevertheless, Ian Stuart's voice is raspy-powerful, and somehow there is something quite undeniably enchanting about their music.
I do like "Hail the New Dawn" and "White Rider." IrishJay's picks are quite good as well.
If nothing else, Skrewdriver's lyrics are always noble and stirring, often poetic. I think this is their greatest appeal.
I can provide a few mp3's upon request.

I wish we had an upload capability for mp3s. I dont want to raise any copyright problems but I'm under the impression the level of enforcement of copyright law for WP music is close to zero. There are both good and bad reasons for that and I'm not trying to deprive anybody of royalties. Again, is there anything like Odins Lounge out there anymore? they had a great catalogue.

Skrewdriver is fuckin' great. There's a lot of drekky WP music out there, but SD is the oldest and damn good. Bully Boys are good, too. I got a CD by the "Blue-Eyed Devils" and I thought it sucked.

Funnily enough i preferred them in their punk phase with stuff like Anti Social which is a classic of the genre whatever the critics tell you nowadays.
After that
it's a bit hit and miss but the track Poland is one every WP music fan should get, a class track.

IMHO, Skrewdriver is one of the best bands of all time, and in my opinion, will always be up there... Jay listed some awsome albums, also, Hail Victory and Hail the New Dawn are really awsome albums.... Hail Ian Stuart, may he Rest in Peace....

My fave Skrewdriver is the punk era stuff. However I agree that "Poland" is an outstanding track.

Skrewdriver kicked-open the door of White~Pride for me in the early 1980's.
46 year's.
Hail the New Dawn.
To-morrow belong's to me.
When the boat come's in.
Voice of Britain.

Let me add to MASTY's great titles:
Road to Walhalla
Green Fields of France
The Red Threat
And his best songs are made not with Skrewdriver but with the Klansmen.

Did some security for Skrewdriver years ago, Ian (R.I.P) was a great guy and real WN/NS hero and a great singer.
I like both Skrewdriver and No Remorse also like Skullhead, Cock Sparrer Boehse Onkelz, oi Dramz, Freikorps, Landstorm, Kraftschlag to name but a few. Most are no more....
The good old B&H days seem to be long gone. :(

I liked the first album and still think Anti-Social is one of their best songs. But when their went poltical, Screwdriver went up a notch, good songs with lyrics with a real meaning.

You all talking about that drunken British hillbilly that spent half his time getting his teeth knocked out in bars?
Listen to some good Aryan American bands or some good Aryan German bands.
If I listen to Skrewdriver music I usually listen in the form of Saga, as her voice is better and the quality of the music is a thousand times better.

The first song of theirs that I downloaded was "The Snow Fell" which is covered really well by Rahowa on the Cult of the Holy War album (which is simply awesome IMO... this coming from a pretty mainstream music listener). After hearing the Rahowa version, I guess I was kind of turned off towards Skrewdriver, although obviously it's an SD song so the credit should go to them for the music and words, it's the vocals and the production value (or lack thereof) that make me dislike the original SD version.

Great songs: The Snow Fell (Skrewdriver) & Stalingrad from Lieder der hoffnung(Songs of hope).
Blood and Honour is not what it once was when Ian was alive, those that are still involved are far more piss these days as we look at some of the liberal shit that have started to call themselves Nationalists. Things have gone backwards not forwards and we are all getting pretty upset about it. Which means some cunts going to pay!

Ugh, do you intentionally seek to offend? Ian Stuart was a very talented songwriter. Who else in the entire socalled WP music scene has approached his productivity? Perhaps a few. In my own particular tastes (chacun a son gout) Bound For Glory and Rahowa were good and creative and productive as well though obviously Burdi quit before he barely got going.
As for his voice, there is a song on the Nordland "Ian Stuart Tribute" double cd, by I dont know who, a guitar and voice ballad type, reminiscence of ISD, who talked about his gravely voice. Let me tell you I find it inspiring. He was one of the first, somebody "who gave us a voice."

Get the whole "patriotic songs 1 and 2" and you will get used to it. has a very folksy feeling. you could play songs like this sitting in on the mike at your local celtic bar and nobody would know the better.
anybody heard the cover of the GnR song by ISD? from GnR Lies. Cool one!

Digging up 3-year-old threads now? How many of my posts did you scour to find this gem?
While you’re at it, dig up a 3 year old thread where Modly talks about getting down with your wife prison style. You know they guy that used to nail her before you met her?
The only good Skrewdriver songs are the ones that were covered by Saga, Prussian Blue and that race traitor Creatard RAHOWA George Burdi.
