None of the articles I looked at on Google (http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=taco+bell+rats&scoring=d) would reveal the RACE of the owner(s) or manager(s) of this restaurant.

Feb 24, 2007 4:07 pm US/Eastern -- (CBS) NEW YORK Residents of Greenwich Village are still talking about how rats invaded a local KFC/Taco Bell, and some are questioning if they will ever eat out again.

"When I saw the news about the rats, I was like freaking out," frequent customer Kim Pagnottan said. "I was like holy (bleep). I was like oh my god. It's disgusting!

"Now, it's like I don't want to even go out, I want to eat at my own house. I want to cook every day."

Pagnottan wasn't the only person grossed out by the events that transpired on Friday morning at the restaurant at Sixth Avenue and West 4th Street. Eddie Rue, a now former customer, said it doesn't get much worse than that.

"I will never eat in there again, definitely lost me as a customer," Rue said.

And countless more are sure to bail now that the city's Health Department inspected the premises and shut it down until its violations are corrected.

One man in particular was doing his best at damage control.

"Please, I hope that the public that saw that won't be turned (off), tempted not to patronize our restaurants because we have the finest and cleanest restaurants in the world," said Chuck Hunt of the New York State Restaurant Association.

CBS 2 cameras caught more than a dozen rats scurrying across the KFC/Taco Bell tile floor early Friday morning, leaping between chairs and onto the same tables customers eat on. One was even perched on the ATM right by the front door.

"They are not afraid at all of people," Margo McGuire said. "They own this sidewalk, it would seem." [Sound like any race you know? --L.D.]

On Friday night, people converged on the fast food restaurant at Sixth Avenue and West 4th Street, hoping to catch a glimpse of the rats in action. Earlier in the day, CBS 2 documented one shocked reaction after another.

"I've seen a lot of disgusting rats in the KFC. I love to eat at KFC, but this is disgusting," Tameeka St. Jean said.

"I freaked out. A place where people eat and there are rats running around the floor. And they aren't little rats. They're huge rats!" Victor Pecone said.

According to people at the scene, the popular restaurant was open until 11 p.m. Thursday night. Others told CBS 2 that the problem has been going on for weeks.

"It's disgusting, and I am so glad you all are here to do something about it," neighbor Susan Quimbyn said. "Obviously things fall through the cracks. I'd like to interview the employees to see if they are aware of the situation."

"The infestation is in the restaurant," Health Department inspector Carol Feracho said. "However, based on the inspection, it is coming from the building. There are a number of openings in the building that constitute entry."

CBS 2's amazing video shows rats running, playing and eating leftovers off the floor of the restaurant. However, rat infestations are not a new problem for this KFC. Just last December, the city's Health Department cited this KFC for evidence of "live rats present in the facility's food and non food areas."

The franchise was also cited for rats on at least three previous occasions by the Department of Health since 2004.

But according to the Health Dept. Web site, the rat problems had been addressed. This was clearly not the case from what CBS 2 cameras caught Friday morning.

Rick Maynard of KFC/Taco Bell issued a statement Friday, saying: "This is completely unacceptable and is an absolute violation of our high standards. This restaurant has been closed and we are addressing the issue with the franchise owner. [Yeah, and what race is this 'franchise owner'? Gook? Kike? --L.D.] We will not allow this store to re-open until it is completely re-sanitized and given a clean bill of health. We want to reassure customers that this is an isolated incident at the Greenwich TB/KFC at 331 6th Avenue."

Marcus Bonner said he used to work at this chain and would often see rodents coming inside.

"That's where the rats come from, there's a hole in the back where the garbage is," Bonner said. "There's a hole about three-to-four inches wide. So easy they just walk through. They don't have to squeeze through.

"I quit because it was nasty. They don't use gloves to make the food. They use the same grease day after day after day. At night, the manager told me to put the chairs up. We don't sweep; we don't mop. So that's what the rats are eating off, the stuff that's left on the floors." [What is the race of the manager? Gook? Spic? --L.D.]

McGuire lives next door and said the carelessly dumped garbage from the restaurant attracts rats onto the whole block.

"That chicken puts the weight on them," McGuire said. "The bags, the garbage is always piled up there. And you can actually hear critters in there."

Shocker: KFC Passed Inspection 1 Day Earlier (http://wcbstv.com/seenon/local_story_055174857.html)

Feb 25, 2007 12:02 am US/Eastern -- (CBS) NEW YORK -- The New York City Department of Health said Saturday the rat-infested KFC/Taco Bell in Greenwich Village actually passed inspection one day before CBS 2 cameras caught the rodents running all over the place.

Health officials said the restaurant located at Sixth Avenue and West 4th Street was investigated Thursday following complaints, but the inspector didn't see any rats. [What was the race of the 'inspector'? Nigger? Spic? Gook? --L.D.]

In addition, the same restaurant passed both of its inspections last year.

As health inspectors descended on the restaurant, parent company Yum Brands Inc. hastened to show that it also was taking the rodents seriously.

"Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our customers. This is completely unacceptable and is an absolute violation of our high standards," Yum Brands said in a statement.

The franchise owner "is actively addressing this issue," the statement said, adding that the restaurant will remain closed until the problem is "completely resolved." [Again, what is the race of the owner? Gook? Kike? --L.D.]

But as reported Saturday, the restaurant passed an inspection on Thursday. After the rats were revealed the very next day, the department was re-examining "whether there was a problem with the Thursday inspection." [Oh, OK, there was just a problem with the 'inspection,' not with the 'inspector.' --L.D.]

On Friday, the restaurant was shut down after CBS 2 cameras caught more than a dozen rats running wild [A rodent Katrina! --L.D.] on the floors, tables and counters during closing hours.

The Department of Health said the restaurant will remain closed until it passes re-inspection.

Regardless, many people were so disgusted by the entire episode, they are rethinking their dining plans.

"When I saw the news about the rats, I was like freaking out," frequent customer Kim Pagnottan said. "I was like holy (bleep). I was like oh my god. It's disgusting!

"Now, it's like I don't want to even go out, I want to eat at my own house. I want to cook every day."

Eddie Rue, a now former customer, agreed.

"I will never eat in there again, definitely lost me as a customer," Rue said.

And countless more are sure to bail following the Health Department's actions on Friday and its stunning announcement on Saturday.

"I freaked out. A place where people eat and there are rats running around the floor. And they aren't little rats. They're huge rats!" Victor Pecone said.

Added former KFC/Taco Bell employee Marcus Bonner: "I quit because it was nasty. They don't use gloves to make the food. They use the same grease day after day after day. At night, the manager told me to put the chairs up. We don't sweep; we don't mop. So that's what the rats are eating off, the stuff that's left on the floors."

Still, some are imploring New Yorkers to keep the faith.

"Please, I hope that the public that saw that won't be turned (off), tempted not to patronize our restaurants because we have the finest and cleanest restaurants in the world," said Chuck Hunt of the New York State Restaurant Association.

Parallels between subspecies in NYC: NYC Eateries Wage Endless Battle Against Vermin: Small Markets, Grocery Stores Not Immune To Nasty Pests (http://wcbstv.com/topstories/local_story_055202701.html)

http://img.viacomlocalnetworks.com/images_image_347144508 SLIDESHOW: Rat Invasion At KFC (http://wcbstv.com/slideshows/local_slideshow_054140812)

Feb 24, 2007 9:25 pm US/Eastern -- (CBS/AP) NEW YORK -- When a pack of rats invaded a KFC-Taco Bell restaurant here, many people were shocked as they watched widely distributed footage of the dozen twitchy rodents scampering across the eatery's floor.

But in a city like New York, businesses that handle food wage a seemingly endless battle against vermin. The difference with the KFC-Taco Bell caught on tape Friday? Patrons usually don't see the creatures and certainly not in such large numbers.

"It's one thing knowing it. It's another seeing it," [Like Katrina? --L.D.] said Nicole West, 23, who lives in Greenwich Village, the same neighborhood as the restaurant, which was shut down Friday and remained closed.

Trouble with mice, rats, cockroaches and other pests aren't limited to restaurants. State sanitary reports show scores of small markets and prominent grocery stores like Fairway, Balducci's, Gourmet Garage, Gristedes, Food Emporium and D'Agostino have at one point or another dealt with similar problems.

"The city is a tough place," Jeffrey Eisenberg, president of Pest Away Exterminating in Manhattan, said in a recent interview. "It's a battle. If you look, you're gonna find them."

According to the reports, rodents gnaw their way into sacks of cat and dog food, pasta and beef packages and loaves of bread. Mice and rat droppings are unearthed in storage and other areas that customers don't see. Rat and mice carcasses are not uncommon.

Inspectors once discovered two rodent burrows in one supermarket's dairy cooler. At a Fairway in Harlem, inspectors over the years have uncovered rodent-defiled macaroni products, a live rat and a meandering mouse in a fresh corn display.

Of course, it's the sniveling rat that makes people most squeamish.

"It is disgusting," said Brian O'Keefe, who has frequented the city's KFC-Taco Bell restaurants. "I mean, rats are supposed to be on the outside. And mice are on the inside. If there's rats inside you got a real serious problem." [Yes, white nations do have a problem with 'rats on the inside'! --L.D.]

It's impossible to estimate how many rats there are in New York, experts say, but one popular belief is that there's one for each of the more than 8 million people in the city. Whatever the number, the rats have continued to thrive despite the city spending millions to eradicate them.

The typical New York rat weighs about one pound and has a very flexible body, making it easy to squeeze though openings as small as a half inch. Each year, a female rat can easily bear dozens of offspring that survive, said Frank Gasperini, a pest-control expert.

They sometimes bite people, but mostly, they just eat -- at least one ounce of food every 24 hours, according to Bobby Corrigan, an internationally recognized rat expert. That means few food establishments are immune.

"Even the most famous restaurants can get rats," Gasperini said.

The city's health department finds evidence of vermin, especially mice, at various eateries, from Caribbean restaurants to kosher food shops. [An interesting range of 'problem' sites. --L.D.] Health inspection scores at chain restaurants depend on the location.

Jessica Leighton, the city's deputy commissioner of environmental health, said sloppy sanitation can attract rodents. "The basic message is, you need to remove food sources," she said. "In restaurants, rodents are a symptom of poor sanitation." [= dysgenics --L.D.]

Eisenberg, the exterminator, said wiping out vermin is impossible. [Something Hitler realized a little too late. ;) --L.D.] His company kills about 50,000 rats and 250,000 a mice a year in the city, but it's a war that can't be won -- only managed.

Like other businesses, Steve Jenkins, a part-owner of Fairway, says he spends "tons of money" on extermination. He said the location and size of the stores make it almost impossible to wipe out the rodent problem.

"We run a really tight ship," he said in a recent interview. "We are very proud of the conditions of our stores."

Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC-Taco Bell, said the incident was unacceptable and a violation of its high standards. The company said construction in the building's basement apparently stirred up the rats.

On Saturday, passers-by were still stopping to gawk at the now-notorious fast food joint. West was one of them. She said she'd never eat there again.

"I think this restaurant is pretty much done," she said.

...We don't sweep; we don't mop. So that's what the rats are eating off, the stuff that's left on the floors." Well, that's a clever way to put migrant Mexicans out of business. Why pay them a pitance, when the rats will work for free and likely to do a better job.
All that's needed is for someone to invent a daiper that small

If there is one food item the notoriously afraid-of-all-animals niggers would muster the courage to face off with a rat over, it's Kentucky Fried Chicken. I'll bet the back room resembled an all nigger assault upon a rat-held, chicken-flavored Iwo Jima. "You bes be lettin' go of dat piece of Yard Bird, Mr. Rat. For'n I has ta bust a cap in yor fuzzy azz. My moneys on the rats. They are better organized than the niggers
