This is just a suggestion because so many people have to work during the week and it's hard to listen in. I know we archive shows, but it actually seems like your there when you're listening to a live show....

Personally, with the great people we have like Yankee Jim, Craig Cobb, Panzerfaust, Stan etc, sorry if I missed anyone, we could have shows everynight...

I remember back in January or so when I bitched that we were having a repeat of a Monday Night Live, and this is when we only had a Monday night show, and sure enough that's when Dietrich got his start. He came on, and in two months is absolutely brilliant.

We are on a roll right now, and I think minds are awakening by the hour and it's our duty to take advantage of this.... Just my .02 cents.....

Mark, I completely agree, the weekends are just too barren on VNN radio.

Dietrich, I'd love to do it, but I don't have a radio voice, I've got a tv face... I'm sure Jim would do it, and others. I was on skype with Craig for about an hour, and I've got a 10 megs download 1 meg upload and would be more than happy to help out server wise. Plus, I curse too much...:D

Mark, your voice is great, you are especially good when you are on the same show with Whiteman4Whiteland. If you were hosting a show I'd definitely listen and I think others here will agree with me on that.

I would take Tuesday nights BUT my computer would never be able to handle it. Otherwise I would DEF be in on some FTL. How about a prerecorded type thing? I'm sure my PC could handle that.

There should be a SATURDAY Free Talk Live

In a way, Peter Shaenk was doing this a while back. He had a few very good Saturday night shows with a lot of VNN regulars calling in. Maybe he'd host a regular Sat. FTL.

I'll do a show if someone can show me the technical ropes. I'm very computer literate, build high-end workstations and servers, and also have a good deal of networking under my belt. I have simplecast installed and will need some assistance in getting that setup. Otherwise I'm sure that my systems here are more than adequate for a show.

Have a cable modem, dual Opteron 64bit cpus, 3 WD Raptor 10K rpm hard drives in RAID 0 configuration. Behind a router (NAT firewall), software firewall. Can handle anything except maybe a DoS attack.

This will be a first for me and maybe Mark-in-Cali would like to co-host or maybe we could both co-host a show on Saturday? Either way I'll do a show but will need the rundown on the specific technical aspects of simplecast software and the use of Skype for conferencing and receiving incoming calls.

Oh and everyone will have to bear with my first couple of shows until I get acquire my showbiz legs. I don't care for the sound of my voice either but the message is more important to broadcast than any concern over my own vanity.
