On my laptop, I keep 'Remember Me' checked...but this morning, I've had to re-enter my login information on three different occaisions. Not sure what the deal is, but if it's an issue on your side, I wanted to make you aware of it.
The other cookies stored in my browser aren't having any issues with another other sites.
(Browser is IE7, OS is VistaBusiness.)

I had some of the same problems this morning, but then Aimee (Red) came on and answered me. I'll post her answers, cause I think the admins are in US-time sleeping hours:

Possible small glitch in the system. I got up this morning and opened by Explorer browser as I always do, and clicked into VNNF. For some reason, my usual automatic log-in I had set didn't work. (I hadn't cleaned out passwords or anything). Since I couldn't find my password for a while, I just clicked the vbulletin "send me a new passwrod". whereupon vbulletin declared
a new password will be sent, etc. Anyway, the new password never arrived, but I finally found the old one (which didn't work). I would think that thius could be a big problem with new signups, but it may just be a "localized" problem.
I would also like to move the billionaire thread onto podblanc's board, but the edit buttons are dead. It took a lot of fours of research for that thread-- I also think it's particularly useful for newcomers to read. But I can't seed it cause the edit buttons are dead. I'm not asking the admins for an explanation as to why some threads' edit buttons are locked and others are not. Geoff Beck has already given the explanatioon. Maybe the chan hackers or whoever have settled down now, and the edit buttons on the billionaire thread can be lifted.

I hope you have fun with that. I gave you the answer that I think will solve your problem once already, when you came acting like a jackass in the chat this morning.
I think you're smart enough to know when upgrades happen, problems can, and often do, occur. When dealing with web software, and databases, and cookies, odd things can happen.
Ever get that staying logged in problem worked out on podblanc? You remember the one... you'd get logged off the forum, but not the site, and would have to log off the site to be able to be logged into both? Got that fixed, or is that bug/glitch still giving your users problems?
Why don't you stop being a total jackass for two seconds, and use the brain that is right there in your head?
[4:23:51 AM] craig_cobb says: It's 11:25 am Tallinn time. I got up this morning and opened by explorer browser as I do every morning and checked onto VNN. Surprise surprise--the new admins are doing such an excellent job that my brwser doesn't log in. So I clicked for a new password, and that has not arrived by email.
[4:42:57 AM] Aimee says: Try clearing your cookies. The same thing happened to me, while it didn't happen to others. You enjoying being a complete ass for the hell of it, Chain?
[4:45:31 AM] Aimee says: And there's BEEN an email problem, it is one of the things I'm checking into. Anything else?
[4:51:51 AM] Aimee says: Good. With that, I take my leave. I'm sure you'll enjoy the atmosphere better, much as I will.
I guess I was a little abrupt this morning. After yesterday's acrimony and having personal knowledge of Aimee's style, I expected the worst. In my opinion, password auto-responders and login problems are infinitely more important than green star issues. But let's give the girls a chance. Really. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Thanks, Chain.
If it helps, I actually reset my password this morning using that feature and the email arrived for me pretty much instantly. I was able to change my password/credentials and log in just fine.
It still didn't help the issue of my cookies 'forgetting' though.
I'll let you know if it happens anymore. I'm about to head to work and will be using a different PC to access the forums throughout the day.

Yes RebelWithACause, the fixes will come I guess-- just as the email password prob has been solved.

Got that fixed, or is that bug/glitch still giving your users problems?Yes the techs fixed that. If you'd visit more often, you'd have seen. A video hosting site is far more complex than a point and click vbulletin site, for sure. We have already offered Alex (about 2 plus months ago) our willingness to mirror the entire VNN database, including your vbulletin, natch, and he spends quite a bit of time promoting http://podblanc.com in the four hour Goyfire #52.
Aimee, as I mentioned early on in the Elisha thread, my gripe was with Elisha's being a federal witness, having had her and her husband's long, long histories of running down VNN and all its members etc etc. It's too bad you over-reacted to my criticism of her, and I do hope you and she won't use your positions and influence to poison the well between Vanguard News Network and Podblanc. Itr's a done-deal now, and we all must live with you.
Re the poisoning of the well issue-- I have gotten over 5,000 hits on my You Tube videos in the past 24 hours (I was getting 4,000 a day when they kicked me off ChainCraig) , and Arktos, Heimdall, and Angst also get huge numbers daily. Please try to sublimate your personality for the greater good. Thanks.

Chain, you have got to do me the favor of at least reading everything I post, if you're going to expect me to reply to things you say; in any thread. Perhaps if you had actually read everything in my posts in the thread you're talking about, you would have known YESTERDAY that I was under the impression you were calling ME a fed rat.
Do you remember me saying this:
For the record, I joined this thread because of the second post in the thread, please go back and note I did not say a word towards you in my reply. Nor did I make a reply to you in my second reply. However, you did decide that instead of reading over my generic reply about how much more would we see, you would reply to it, and address me; and did so in such a manner that it could be construed as you accusing ME of being some kind of fed informant, as well as your thoughts on Elisha being one.

You see that, Chain, that one bolded line? That's me, at around noon or so, EST, wondering if perhaps I had read your post wrong. You could have clarified, you could have let me know I read your post wrong. It was easier, and I'd probably say more fun for you, to keep on with the tirade.
We can do this however you want to, Chain. A mistake was made, I misread what you said, and thought you were calling ME a rat; I reacted. You and I have past dealings, and if it had been someone else, I may not have reacted quite as I did, or I may have realized that you weren't talking about me. From there in went into an area that it didn't need to go into with you and I.
We can keep dancing around in circles with each other, or, we can both get back to what it is we do, and quit sniping each other here on the forums.

Try completely clearing your cookies for vnnforum.com. Completely delete them. You should have to log in once more, but things should be back to normal.
I think the problem is happening to the people using the "Remember me" option. I was having the same problem last night, after the upgrade, until I cleaned out my cookies, and logged back in fresh. I haven't had a problem getting logged out since.
If this doesn't fix you, please let me know so I can look for other sources for the problem.

When I used the 'change password' feature this morning and logged back in and rechecked the 'Remember Me' option, it should have had the same effect as recreating the cookie.
I had the issue one more time right after doing that, and haven't had a problem with it the rest of the day.
(I'm using an XP machine now.) I'll try again on my Vista laptop when I get home and let you know if there are any issues there.
Thanks!
